A deep dark maroon, a pronounced complex nose consisting of deep incense, black cherry, smoke and vanilla. On the palette, smooth, velvety, yet crisp robust fruit, with layers of deep spice. Med acid and med plus body. It has a lovely medium plus finish. Overall extremely complex, could develop further with a few more years and an excellent wine for under $20.

The wine pours a medium purple. Aromas of sun kissed blueberry with a touch of perfume. On the palette, full of more ripe, jammy blueberry, vanilla, touch of baking spice, medium tannins and light acid. A very lush, smooth, velvety wine. A great qpr however one could long for more complexity.

I had higher expectations for this wine given the WA 91 rating. This wine is lacking complexity and depth, lighter than a typical Tempranillo. On the palette, black cherry fruit, earth, baking spice and light tannins. However, it was a decent wine for the WTSO price point of $12.99.

The wine is a medium plus intensity of ruby-purple. On the nose, an underdeveloped aroma of cherry, spice and herbs. On the palette earth comes forward, high acid slightly over powering, low tannins, dried cherry and tea. Not too complex and medium finish.

The wine pours a very deep garnet with hints of both brown and maroon colors. It has medium pronounced aroma of blackcherries, earth, leaves, dirt, and cooked vegetables. On the palette well integrated, medium plus acid and tannins, which leads to a very smooth wine. It has a medium body, with flavor characteristics of cherry, nutmeg, and cloves. It lingers on with a nice chewiness and medium plus finish.

On the nose medium plus aroma of black cherry, black plum, and spice with the stone and slate showing through. On the palette more, lush intense cherry flavors, black pepper, medium plus acidity and medium tannins. The wine has a long finish. This wine could have used a little more time to decant and age in the bottle.

The wine pours a medium plus intensity of deep ruby with a touch of purple. A developed wine that could age a few more years. It has a pronounced palette of black cherry, cloves, and some little fresh vegetal, mushrooms. On the palette, wonderfully balanced, smooth, medium tannins and acidity; so well integrated. It has a medium plus body, extremely concentrated black fruit, layers of spice, cinnamon and cloves, so lush and smooth. A long finish and an outstanding wine. Only 50 barrels produced.

A deep lemon color, with a touch of gold. On the nose medium intensity aroma of lychee, peach, roses. On the palette, full bodied wine with medium plus acidity which balances the wine but may not be enough for the body and sweetness. Flavors of honeysuckle and cirtus also come out on the palette. A medium finish. Perhaps missing that touch of spiciness. A good wine but lacking some complexity.

An easy to drink summer wine. On the nose, fresh picked raspberry, a touch of sweet perfume and some strawberry. On the palette medium plus acidity, medium minus tannins, raspberry continues with a touch of green and nice smoothness. Lacking complexity and concentration.

A garnet red, showing some age around the rim. On the nose, medium plus intensity of violets and layers of juicy red cherries and plums. On the palette this wine is powerful but in a delicate way, high tannins and high acidity, more red cherry with the vegetal notes of green bell pepper and black olives coming out all sprinkled with layers of strong spice. It has medium plus layers of complexity with medium fruit concentration. It lingers for a decent amount of time. It was ready to drink however would continue to improve with more time in the cellar. It has a med plus finish. Overall an outstanding wine.

This wine pours a deep intense ruby color. It has a medium plus pronounced aroma of intense black fruit- blackberry, blackcurrant, black pepper. The intense fruit is layered with spice, perfume, and notes of chocolate. On the palette dense, firm layers of complexity unfold that truly balance each other out; full bodied, high tannins, high but subtle acidity, concentrated black fruit. With some more decanting more the vegetal characteristics came out such as green pepper. It was ready to drink however would improve with more time in the cellar. Overall an outstanding wine and great value for the quality and price.

The wine pours a deep dark purple color, medium plus almost deep intensity, a small amount of gradation around the rim made the wine appear to be newer than true age. On the nose, a medium plus intensity of black cherry, dusty smoke, and spice, a touch of methanol and a layer of sweetness comes through. It has a medium plus complexity and good fruit concentration. On the palette, it has high acidity and medium plus tannin with layers of smokiness, spices, and cherries. It is a full bodied wine and well balanced with a long finish. Overall an outstanding wine. Ready to drink however it will continue to develop.

The appearance was medium plus intensity, garnet color with some rust showing through around the rim calling out the age. The aroma was a medium intensity of luscious sweet raspberries and strawberries with a touch of vanilla and floral notes. On the palette, crisp cherries and some dried fruit notes came through, layered with cloves, cinnamon, more vanilla and cola. It had nice well balanced medium acidity and tannins which allowed the layers of complexity to come through. Overall impressed and a good value.

A deep purple appearance, pronounced aromas of fresh ripe blackberries stewed with allspice, clove and vanillla. On the palate, medium+ body, nicely balanced acidity and tannins and the spices - amazing, really coming through and evolving into more pungent spices of black pepper; cherries were also present. It lingered for a bit concluding with a med finish. Overall a great wine especially for the price. One of my favorite to enjoy during the week!

Medium to light bodied, velvety finish. Nicely balanced with medium tannins. Very easy to drink. Lacking a little complexity but great value for price point.
