Sublime! The nose is pitch-perfect and worthy of Grand Cru. The touch of the palate is silky with a great balance. Long, very long with a peacock finish that lasts more than 30s. Waouah! Matched to the perfection the Morton Bugs and truffles.

Definitely ready to drink- clear rusty-like colour, aromas of leather, cigarbox. Tannins present but not aggressive. Moderate length. Nice touch on the palate. Don't be too late to open the bottles you have.

Beautiful intoxicating nose of blackcurrant, spices, cedar box-very fresh and sharp.
On the palate the balance is remarkable. Soft touch, very silky. Tannins are there but very well rounded. Long and persistent touch.
Very long retro-olfaction. No wonder why the Bordeaux châteaux should get scared !

Probably way too young- the acidity is present and a tiny bit tar on the palate. Needs plenty of time to put all pieces together.

- Crimsom color with slow forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Very inky, tight legs on the glass. Powerful exotic nose: this is Istanbul after the rain, with a dash of crushed blackcurrant. Woody. The palate is rich, powerful but well balanced. The tannins are well integrated: present, yet coated with the masses of red fruit flavors, leather, spices. Impossible to swallow instantly, so precise are the waves of emotions in the mouth. Not refined, far from it, but intoxicatingly good. Matches very well confit duck with potatoes cooked in duck grease.

- Ruby color. It's somewhat balanced with a light/medium body. Silky texture with a medium finish - Medium-intensity nose with characteristic dark cherry, chocolatey, leather. Light to medium body, with a balanced texture, tannins subdued. It's ethereal and quite light touch with a medium finish. Overall quite unobtrusive and discreet, and clearly at maturity for this less than shining vintage in Burgundy.

Greenish colour. Nose very expressive, sharp and powerful. A signature nose of the Pinot Gris, with a hint of exotism ( if compared to the Alsatian version). The palate is creamy, medium-bodied, with a good acidity. No doubt the 14 degree-alcohol can be felt. Very peachy, and long, long aftertaste. A tiny hint of residual sugar, though I'd still qualify this as dry.
Very pleasant indeed!

100% Falanghina, from a volcanic terroir. The colour is deep gold in the glass (pre-ox ?). The nose is quite shy, but sharp and cool: pine trees, white pepper, honey. Very velvety and silky in the mouth ( only 13% alcool): a sweet caress. Medium-bodied. Long aftertaste, very fresh and with substance. An intriguing wine, served with freshly cooked lobsters and truffle oil.

The nose is reminiscent of fresh mushroom and leather. Dense and sharp. Beautiful mouth, with a vivid acidity, balanced primary aromas. Quite tingy on the palate.Young, very young, but impossible to resist now. Definitely akin to a red Burgundy from Côtes de Beaune. Wish I had more in the cellar !

Same strong oxydative flavours and aromas which makes it undrinkable. Two bottles purchased on auction, two huge disappointment. I indeed urge caution on purchasing white wines from old vintages.

- Garnet color - Magnificent ! Truffle, leather, wet leaves and mushrooms. Perfect balance with tannins totally integrated. Long, long aftertaste. This is the second bottle opened lately, and both have been stunningly good. At their maturity, and very food friendly.

- Greenish color - A slight oxydative touch on the nose, and then on the mouth, made it difficult to enjoy firsthand. Afterwards, the slim, sharp acidity found their way with classic fresh grassy flavors. Quite plump and rich- a sign of the vintage. Matched well with a steamed fish and truffle-oil.

- Greenish color - Always as pleasantly fragranced and beautifully balanced. A top Pinot Gris, very versatile with the food, this time with Hot pot of mussels.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs. It's unbalanced with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours prior to serving. Nose of blackcurrants and dark chocolate. Quite chewy on the mouth, with liqueur chocolate dominance. Tannins present but coated with the level of alcohol present. Finds its balance after a while. Served (boldly) on an Osso Buco, and found a very good match, with the acidity in the wine matching the tomato, and the tannins cutting the fat of the meat. The flavors of cherry liqueur and dark chocolate were also well preserved and complemented the meat. If you have no Sangiovese at hand for your osso buco, try out a mature Chateauneuf du Pape from a cold year.

- Garnet color with slow forming legs - Beautiful nose of blackcurrant. Intoxicating to smell. Full- bodied, but very well balanced: the masses of fruits coat the tannins and leave a very distinct aftertaste. Though it puts forward 14,5 degrees alcohol it is impossible to spot, so balanced is the lot. Very impressive indeed and at perfect maturity, though can wait again. Slow roasted lamb a perfect match.

Stunning purity of the expressive Gewurtz grape. Very very long on the palate, with an incredible length for such a basic cuvée in the range. I snapped an extra 6 bottles to secure more in the cellar. The Weinbach sisters have definitely produced an awesome wine in this good vintage.

Full-bodied and luscious. Superb intensity of aromas. The tense acidity enables to lift the masses of flavours. Beautiful tension. A decadent wine that matched perfectly some tuna sashimi.

- Greenish color with slow forming legs and aromas of peach and cut green grass. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of sherry, cut green grass and mousey with a light/medium body. Linear texture with a medium finish - Attractive nose of peach and grass. Classy. Quite slim and sharp, but a disturbing oxydative touch on the mouth.

- Garnet color - Start to fall apart. Coarse tannins typical of this scorching vintage. Lacks the necessary acidity to sustain this massive influx of astringency. Nose restrained, even after a three-hour decanting prior to tasting. Matched the roasted lamb with dignity but not one that will leave much memory.

- Yellow color - A good food matching wine, though Poussins and Porcini in red sauce was a stretch too many.
Hints of fresh almonds and white truffle. Full bodied and quite long with a nice retro-olfaction.
Probably reached its peak, but will hold on for a few years. Drink now to the next five years.

- Yellow color with small pearls. It's balanced with a medium/full body with a long finish - Super balance. Can obviously hold on for much longer. Decant this wine in a long neck decanter, the tasting will only be better. Super refine.

Nice color evolving already. Beautiful complex nose. Meaty. Could be a Burgundy from a lesser vintage. Great length and smooth tanins. Long and balanced. Nothing New World in this wine! Keeps evolving in the evening. Imperative to drink at 19-21 degrees celsius. Wish I had more in the cellar !

Deep golden. Nose subdued, though aristocratic. Long and mature in the mouth, with an extraordinary balance. Remember the white nucleus in a young fresh peach ? That's what you get on the palate after a couple of seconds. Long, long aftertaste. For those who love mature white wines this is a must! Tip: Keep the food simple to enhance the wine.

Decanted. Very good nose, profound. Mouth very typical of Graves: wet stones and leaves. Archetypical. Keeps opening up in the glass. At first tanins quite present, and then subdued. Extraordinary perfumed retro-olfaction for many seconds. At its pick I would say, though will last for another couple of years. Perfect match with venison and mushrooms.

Very serious and complex. Nose of fresh bread, and keeps getting more intense. Medium-bodied, and complex. Great great length.
Though can wait many many more years, it is a lovely gastronomic wine now.
