Surprisingly young and exuberant. With lamb shank dinner. Plum, pepper and big ending. Dark colour, not bad for a twenty year old wine that should have seen better days according to internet. Enjoy this good bottle of shiraz.

Opened with lamb shank
The fruit remains very compressed in tannins. Frankly, a bambino. I know it will open later. As opposed to notes I read here, I would suggest another few years as the color and flavor say not yet ready. Great vintage

Red mature but not old. Kept opening over dinner. The cork smelled of fruit and by the end of supper, full bodied dark plum, classic shiraz. My thought was why I had not left it until 2018. Coriole is a great winemaker. If I was younger, I would buy a case of a good year and keep it. Great qpr

Great tasting Amorone. No sign of age. Drank with 99 and preferred 98. Still has plenty of time in the bottle.

Still has good age potential with this Aus Amorone. I opened 98 and 99. I liked the 98 better.

Had for my birthday with Artic Char. Reddish purple. Bouquet of lovely scents jump out of glass on opening. The wine is very drinkable, absolutely lovey, what wine is all about. I have no idea how long it will continue to drink but I would say it is at its peek right now. I would suggest if you can find it for under a couple of hundred dollars, go for it.

Still has plenty of time to mature. A fruit front one would expect, requires opening before drinking of course. Look forward to the rest of them in a few years.

Nice and fruity, it has opened up and the tannens gone. Good bottle. It is not in a class of its Northern Rhone Cousins.

Absolutely outstanding, what a bargain when I purchased, still requires an hour to open, takes two minutes to open up fully in your mouth, kind of like a fire cracker with early flavours followed by more. Full, complete, earthy, an outstanding example of terroir and I wish I had a 1000 bottles. I am sure you have another 10 to 15 years of great drinking.

Good wine, color slightly changing, took for Chinese Food which is not a great match.

Wine of the day at MoCool 2013 in Ann Arbour. Multilayered complex, earthy, Cote Roti was phenominal.

It is the right time to drink. Multi layered rhone that makes everyone say yummy. This wine is not over the hill, can still advance but very enjoyable.

Very dense, I think this could have many more years and wish I had held off on my only bottle.

Lovely nose on opening but obvious need to decant for a bit of time. Drink now but the color does not say over the hill.

Michael Schuster: Fine, soft, cedar-and-ripe-blackcurrant nose, with a marked gravel character; nicely balanced, fine-textured, fairly supple middleweight; dry, minerally, flavor, fine without being big, but ripe in fruit; long, understated, and graceful, with a marked aromatic complexity and fine length. A typically elegant expression of Pauillac, a lovely GPL. 2016–30+. 17.5

We served tonight with leg of lamb and two other bottles of wine. I opened the bottle at 5:30 pm with my friend coming at 6 pm for dinner etc. The colour was identical or dark purple to a young Cal Cab we had with it. The wine initially tasted like it came from Rhone with earthy smells and spicy flavours. It was ok but seemed wierd. Time went on it changed. It took three hours but when it was ready wow. It was translucent,in balance and elegant. The fruit was not beaten up by the oak and we thought it was great. I must reinforce that it took three hours of decanting to get into the groove and stayed this way when I closed the bottle a couple of hours later. It is a lovely wine, I suspect has many year of life ahead. I have two more bottles and will keep one til 2020.

Friend brought this bottle. Served with leg of lamb and two other bottles of wine. Found it still young and very tannic. Tastes of oak and cherry but there is a feeling if one decants long enough it will get better. After 6 hours it still had not sat long enough to change. I would hold for two years and try again if I had another bottle.

Bottle took about an hour and a half to decant. The wine is in balance and enjoyed it. I would suspect it has at least five years left with the time it took to open up.

For the vintage, awfully good wine. Plum colour with balance up the middle. Not overly extracted, this fruity wine with cherries and choclate. I was impressed how well it tasted and the flavour lasted. There are no leftovers and my better half had seconds. I show finished for this vintage but suspect I need to look hard and find another. I do not believe it will improve much but I do not believe it is ready to go down either.

Pleasantly surprised to find nice fruit on opening. The colour is beginning to mellow. Read another review, so went out and came back 3 hours later. Found it more balanced. If any complaint, it was quiet at the end. The wine is drinking nicely for an almost 16 year old that was supposed to retire several years ago. I suspect if the provinence is good, this wine will live sometime longer.

Cork crumbled but surprisingly good wine. Purple, nose of plums and smooth taste with sweet fruit and a bit of licorice. A pleasant surprise for a bottle that was supposed to be finished based on vintage years ago. Delicious wine. Well made wine.

Tasted at MoCool. Still with a thick wad of tannins. Just a puppy. Try in 5 years but it will keep for 15.

Consumed 375 bottle. Opened took about 5 minutes to open up. Fruit open, no noticable tannin, 10 second after taste. Color is slightly changing. I suspect it is drink up time.

Had with 6 course tasting meal featuring Goose. Four wines but compared with 86 Burgundy ( i forget) very favourably. Bottle took almost an hour to open up from when uncorked and decanted. Teltale Rhone flavours of barnyard but also some fruit. This wine will continue to drink well for several years as there is still acid. I would not be surprised if it will be ok at 20 year anniversary in 2019.
