This wine was singing for us during our afternoon firepit session... accompanied lamb burgers with feta and saffron mayo. Somehow still tasted quite young, moderate sentiment, and still ample fruit. A great pull.

cork was dry, other than that it continues to be a brooding red... Didnt consume this at ideal conditions at a byob restaurant - so wasnt able to give it the time to open up it needed...

Is this overrated by the community, i just don't know... it hasn't wowed me yet. one more on the rack, perhaps i will hold or go for a longer decant next time.

Awesome bottle... 30 min of air time - this overdelivered. Good funky fruit + barnyard on these nose. Solid structure... Drank at Culinariane chef's table....

I thought it was very serviceable. Big wine, holds up well against any hearty meal. Would buy again as a cellar defender.

nose wasn't as explosive as it once was, and the wine has mellowed out somewhat over the last couple of years. Perhaps its more polished, if slightly more muted. Had with short ribs.

didn't decant, but opened it an hour before... nice nose, if slightly muted...but went very well with skirt steak tacos. Glad I have a couple more on the rack.

Solid bottle, after 30 minutes of air time this was very smoothe with a modest, yet nice nose. great value at 16-17

my first aglianico - nice, rich, and smoothe... not complex but a quality wine. good for the price, but have had much worse at this price point as well...

rating is up there due to the great price... good balanced pinot w/ good barnyard funk up front... which is hard to come by for 12 bones

big and smoothe, but didn't go crazy over this as others have... opened for 10 hours, then decanted for the next 10, so gave it much air... definitely not overpriced, but if it were 15-20 dollars more, i'd say eh.

I had a great bottle, and the cost reflects the score here as well... after 20-30 minutes, nice woodsy barnyard funk. bordeaux like nose - that alone is worth the $12.... good backbone as well. will see how it fairs on night #2.....

decanted a good 3 hours - and overall, eh. lack of fruit didn't help the average taste and big tannins. i have one more bottle, hopefully that one is better since i hear there can be quite a bit of variation here.

What's to say that hasn't already been said... ample ripe fruit, not unpleasant to drink at all... nothing fancy though, super simple but obviously a solid value.

drank over 3 days...maybe not the best vintage for this one as it used to be my house wine. It lacked the charachteristics that made it special in prior years. burnt coffee, toffee, caramel undertones - nothing present this go around. not offensive at all, smoothe, simple, snooze.
