Cool, light mint, menthol nose. Palate echoes that coolness with it soft cassis fruit. But not sweet or fat. Not bad, just not exciting.

The nose is a bit thin, the palate is a bit thin, neither are terrible, they just aren't interesting.

I applaud Spanish produces for giving us 100% monastrell wines..This one is good, but not great. It has classic monastrell spice but lacks a little depth of fruit. Still pretty good.

Forward cabernet nose somewhere between new world and moden Bordeaux tilting toward the former in its focus on fruit. Lovely cassis fruit on the palate with good balance. Medium length finish. Good. Will age.

Solid 90pts. Quite good plum and blackberry but dry, not sweet. Good balance and length. Surprisingly good for this wine.

Soft, almost delicate entry followed by rich, sweet cherry and strawberry fruit with a hint of vanilla. The fruit carries it despite a lack of tannic structure that leads it to be a little fat. Fun to drink for a few glasses. A young drinker, not one o keep.

Some nice fruit and a long finish, but just a touch short of acidity to carry the wine and give it life beyond one glass.

A bit of light gooseberry and apple fruit, but really kinda flat on the palate with insufficient acidity to give it interest or life.

Loved this. Heady, forward nose of dark plums and dark cherries. Mid-to-full palate of tangy, slightly sweet fruit. Plum, stewed dark cherrie, hints or orange and spice. Tannins are still prominent, but ripe and soft so the wine is a delight to drink even at this young age. Will be better in a decade.

Classic barolo nose, but still fresh. Gorgeous rich, sweet fruit on the palate with a wee medicinal, tar edge on the finish. Juicy, refreshing acid. Long. Really very good.

Good. Some characteristic tar and rose. Both are present on the palate at the start, then some dark cherry, acidity creates a high on the finish. Showing some mature oxidative character. A little short though.

Good. Juicy, has some richness and chewy dark cherry fruit. Good length. Noticably darker than the others at this tasting.

Slightly pale and translucent ruby. Light, a bit thin, and dry. Redeemed by juiciness on the finish. but overall a bit meh.

Lovely. Subtle nose of white fruit. Starts slightly austere and mineral but weight builds on the palate with apple and hints of caramel. The acidity creeps up to refresh on the end. Great length. Really enjoy this.

This was good and I may be underscoring slightly. Medium to full body of ripe fruit with a touch of sweetness from phenolic ripeness and good length. Juicy acidity that tilts it to being more a food wine than something to drink on its own, but in that regard it works very well.

I know this wine has a high consensus score, but, tasted daily over three days at no point did it excite me. it's decent pinot noir, easy to drink, but I'm struggling to think of anything interesting to say about it. Pass

Belated note. Well balanced, pure pinot with good fruit blended nicely with subtle oak. Slightly sweet, but neither excessively so nor obviously new world. Very polished tannins. Easy to like and drink now. I wonder how this will mature as a couple of days after opening it hadn't really moved.

Pnp, atarted with a promising, classic, rich nose and initially savory fruit on the palate, but with distinct, sandy tannins. So I filled an empty half bottle, corked it, and put it in the fridge. Day 2 it had just fallen apart leaving nothing distinguishing about it. Hmmm

Barolo for beginners. Characteristic nebbiolo fruit on the nose with only hints of tar or smoke. Soft, approachable palate that gives some sweet fruit, but is light and lacks depth. The tannins are ripe and soft.

Lovely forward nose of fresh red berry fruit with faint rose and violet. The palate starts soft and a little watery, but quickly adds cool, sweet nebbiolo fruit. Tannins are still present and obvious, but they are soft and ripe, not harsh. Ultimately a little light and short reflecting the vintage but definitely good for the vintage. Worth having a few bottles to drink a few years ahead of the better 2016 and 2018 wines.

Great wine. Fresh plum and red berries with some deeper savory notes on the nose. Lovely sweet fruit on the palate. Great structure and balance. The tannins are definitely present, but not drying or obtrusive. Lovely wine that will be great in 10 years but can be enjoyed wholeheartedly now.

The flavors are true to cab. Black currant dominantes with hints of menthol and mint. Oak is well judged and integrated. But the wine is ultimately a little light and undercomplex. Perfectly nice drink and better than bar wine, but I won't seek it out.

Very good but so different from the 98. Clearly a new world wine driven by a fruit forward approach. Excellent concentration, arguably still not at its peak. Solid

Good wine, but not up to the name or the price. Weakest of the three Bordeaux wines today, 2018 Le Puy (Emillion) and 2003 Paper Clement being the other two. Classic Bordeaux nose of cassis, mocha, and some pencil. The palate is just a bit dry and thin in comparison to the other two, especially the Pape Clement.

Just delicious. Plush, ripe red fruit and berries with hints of oak and ceder. Rich, but not fat or over extracted. Really enjoyed this on day one and day 2. A bottle of 2004 La Mission Haut Brion just opened is a staid and a bit thin in comparison. Good stuff.

Still inky purple. Nose leads with cassis, bramble and menthol. The palate follows with the same, rich smooth cassis, cool menthol, hints of cedar, an edge of saltiness, and a touch of spiciness. Savory despite the fruit. Good balance but leans toward richness, lacking just a smidgen of acidity. Overall good stuff and fun to drink.

Fruit forward. Of course still too young, but mainly from a flavor development sense rather than harsh tannins or aggressive oak. Still has tannins and will age, but just more approachable now. More new world, plush in style, but not ott extracted like some Aussie or Cali wines can be. Good. I'm looking forward to where this will be in a decade.

The brett is the first thing you smell. It's not crazy overwhelming, but it is there and it just soils the wine, in part because it doesn't have exciting fruit that makes up for what amounts to flawed winemaking. Drinkable, but life is too short for this
Shame.

Finally beginning to get there. Just entering maturity, but in a still fruit forward way. Gorgeous cab/cassis fruit. Tannins becoming silky. This is delicious, but I'll wait another couple of years to open another bottle.

Roederer's 2014s are just delicious. Everything you want in classic champagne, but the apple from the chard stands out in the best, most refreshing way even though Pinot flavors are there. I love this. As much as I loved the 2014 BdB, this is rounder and a bit fuller.

Just entering maturity. Beautiful nose full of sweet fruit. The wood is integrating well and the fruit is now dominant. Tannins are becoming soft and silky, but are still present so this is still in early maturity. Distinct acidity balances the fruit, but makes this a food wine. Delicious and possibly 92pts.

Rich, full, but not fat, and sexy. Nose of sweet crushed blackberries and boysenberries laced with a hint of spice. Good acidity balances the ripe syrah dominated fruit and ripe, but present tannins give it structure. Really fun to drink and will develop with age.

Slightly medicinal sour cherry and stewed strawberry and some faint mint on the nose. Sour cherry on the palate with faint fruit sweetness. The tannins are more present and drying than in the Mazy from the same year. Good, classic Chambertin, but less fruit, fewer dimensions, and more austere than the Mazy. I preferred the Mazy.

Community notes on this are mixed, but this bottle was very good. Deep, rich cassis and dark berries and some espresso on the nose. Broad, full palate of the same, smooth ripe tannins, good balance. Still not fully mature, but still good now.
