Dark ruby color, luscious fruit but not overpowering. Silky smooth yet balanced with enough tannin to make it interesting. Fabulous wine paired with grilled tri-tip.

Rich, lush, full-bodied cabernet. Black cherry and cassis come through. Lighter oak than many cabernets. Quite smooth and perfect for those who like robust, fruity cabernets with light oak. It was a very enjoyable wine!

Heavily oaked but nicely balanced California chardonnay. This chardonnay is smooth and has a reasonable amount of fruit. Very enjoyable!

Full bodied, smooth wine. Tasted this side by side with a 2006 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet (about $115/bottle) and this wine held its own very easily. Beautiful fruit and a nice finish.

Full bodied cabernet. Typical smooth, velvety Silver Oak cabernet. Mild tannins and 14.1% alcohol. A very nice wine but still overpriced.

A nice, smooth wine full of cherry overtones. Balanced tannins with light oak and a dark ruby color. A very enjoyable wine that we drank while tailgating at the 49er game. Paired it with a barbecued steak. It did need time to breathe so decant in advance of drinking as it mellowed and opened up with time.

Very smooth and impressive zinfandel. This wine goes down quite easily. Well balanced, slightly jammy but not overbearing. Initial drink seemed a bit sweet but later it seemed opened up and the tastes blended well. Served with steak, baked potatoes, broccoli and spinach.

Very nice, balanced wine. Less oak and a bit more acidity than previous vintages which allows it to pair more easily with foods. Beautiful straw color and a nice finish. Definitely an enjoyable wine.

Excellent wine! Rich, smooth, well balanced fruit and oak. Enjoyed with lobster and clams. Could have had a bit more acidity for these dishes but a beautiful wine with a long finish.

Anise or licorice flavor. Probably past its prime. No peppery tones that one would expect with an old vine zinfandel. It is jammy but not over the top. Good but not great.

Full bodied pinot with a traditional earthy pinot nose. Robust yet smooth from start to finish. Enjoyed much more than other Lucienne single vineyard pinots. Definitely recommend this wine but a bit pricey at $50 for a pinot. Tasted at the vineyard on 8/30/14.

Traditional pinot nose. Hints of cherry on the palate. A very smooth wine that is a bit light on the tannins. Enjoyable.

Smooth with a silky finish. Lighter on the earthiness that you find with many pinots and a bit heavier on the fruit. A very nice wine that is well balanced.

Very smooth with peach undertones. Served with grilled chicken when we were at Lake Tahoe. Buttery and a hint of oak. This is reminiscent of a California chardonnay.

Smooth and velvety. Paired well with ribeye steak. Well balanced with blackberry and cherry undertones. Oak was not overpowering (as some cabs can be) but added a nice depth to the wine. Very nice indeed!

A rich, smooth, well-balanced chardonnay. Plenty of oak but not overpowering. The oak and fruit blended well. This is a big chardonnay with low acidity so food pairing can be tricky.

Drank this wine with Christmas Eve dinner. The wine was a full bodied, buttery chardonnay. This bottle was much better than the 2012 we drank earlier in the year.

This was mildly disappointing. Although the wine was smooth, its finish was weak. I think this wine was past its prime.
