Initial profile has some me salinity and minerality. Fruit opens up with strawberry husk and the hen strawberry notes. Good acidity and vibrancy

Easy drinking table wine. Light in style, no complexity or developed flavors. More akin to an RdM vs a BdM in style. Some fresh cherry and acidity. Still vibrant at 14 years.

A bit forward and primary. Acid somewhat shrill. Has not integrated, so the fruit, acid and character are separated.

Soft blushes of cherry fruit. Right amount of acid to make the fruit float. Vague hints of spice and mushroom. Turned out well after a 21 year rest.

On the lighter side and lacking complexity. Light cherry and a hint of wood and tar. Not much else in the flavor profile. Acidity keeps it going.

Light, bright acid, fruit intact, some tertiary development. An excellent wine, punches above expectation for the vintage.

Has gained some baby fat. Ripe pear and apple. Long finish. Could have tricked me that it was a chard.

A soft ripeness. Subtle cherry fruit comes in waves along with some faint mushroom. Acid in the background holds it together. Lots of elegance in the finish.

This bottle far outperformed the other 2. Fragrant dark berries and dark plum. Some leather and cigar tobacco. Back end of the finish kicks back some sweet berry again. Truly enjoyed each phase of the in glass progression.

Keeps its energy through the entire palate. Lovely fruit, deep pear and apple. Deft treatment on the oak. Long, flavorful finish with a solid underlying backbone.

These 2017's are the bomb. Jumps out a bit bold with pear and oak, but then get's pulled back with acid and minerals to a beautiful balance.

Dusty black fruit. Soft tanin, hint of oak, right balance of acidity. This one floats over the palate and lingers on the finish. Aging has fared it well at 13 years young.

A cornucopia of fruit flavors. Kiwi, lemon, grapefruit, lime, tropicals. So elegant and restrained, the fruit knows how to play against the acid.

Crunchy blue and black fruit over a layer of soft tanin and oak. Cigar box and sous bois undertones add to the complexity. I was most impressed on how the wine seamlessly transformed from fruit to secondary to tertiary flavors through the palate. The elegant backbone helped seal the deal.

Fruit throughout, start to finish. Apple, pear, lime, kiwi. Elegant fine bead. Flows through the palate from start to long finish. What it lacks in bread and yeast is made up with structure, fruit and balance.

Light on flavor. No backbone. 60% Primitivo/40% Negromaro.
Possibly not meant to age this long.

Durand could not extract cork. Cork was very solid, with no give for the ah so to get in. For a 25 year old wine, I may have to take fault as perhaps humidity conditions were not optimal for storage this long. Although, I had a 1997 Brunello Riserva from a different producer last year and that was humming.

Brandied and full of sediment. Down the drain it went

Very unique carbonic wine, unfiltered, Pinkish and hazy in the glass. Bright berry fruit throughout, almost no tannin. Akin to cloudy fruit juice. Reminded me of a unfiltered pet nat or cider, but without any sourness, biterness or fizz. A home run for things out of the norm. Wish I had more.

Initial sips had some sweetness. Then it balanced out with lots of strawberry, raspberry and florals. Good body with a light finish. Can go all seasons but best in summer.

Lots of wood and an otherwise flat profile on the pop n pour. Given some time in glass and it subsequent pours, the O2 exposure brought on fruit and tobacco profiles. Deep plum and dark blackberry began to emerge and held through a lingering finish. This was enjoyable both with the traditional Thanksgiving food pairings and also on its own. The deep body and smooth tannin make this a winner.
