Drinking very nicely. High quality, clean fruit on palate - more new world than I was expecting - I forget what I paid for the bottle but thoroughly enjoyable
Red
Previous bottle’s cork had fallen apart and so had the wine beneath it. This, however! Lovely fruit and spice on the nose with a touch of cedary leather. On the palate, primary, dark cherry and bramble with Christmas cake spice and savoury, leathery notes, some vanillin oak and some pleasantly aged mustiness. A lovely line of acid to freshen the elegantly integrated tannin and extraordinary length. Very lovely indeed. On the evidence of this good bottle, many years ahead, although I shall now look forward to each bottle with much less trepidation amd more in hope and expectation. The joy of picking up 20yr old bottles for a relative song, I guess.
Red
Raspberry and red fruit, gentle tannin and a lovely line. Remarkable balance and freshness. No little length. Perhaps it will open with a little longer in the glass.
Red
Somewhat reticent on nose and palate, but a nice line of acidity and balance makes this very drinkable. Not great vfm at the price

2021 Sigurd Reserve Cabernet Blend Barossa Red Bordeaux Blend
Fruit a forte. Just a touch of bitterness and grip. Pleasing.
Red
Rather lovely. Still years to go, but hitting its straps.

Still a little shy w redcurrant and strawberry on the nose. Sourly juicy w nice texture and crunchy acid. A little simple, right now. I’ll try and leave the rest for a lie down.

Pleasant red fruit. Light to medium body. Juicy red fruit, strawberry and some candies damson and crunchy appealing acidity. Little tannin. Not huge value at this price, but enjoyable enough.

Beguilingly fragrant with red and black cherry. Bright round fruit in balance with some mushroomy savoury characters. Round and soft mouthfeel. Balanced with a line of fresh acidity. Delicious.

Drunk after 2012
Quite different. More serious less ethereal.
Dark ruby. Pretty floral lift to cherry and hints of undergrowth. Whole bunches apparent. Slightly subdued (compared to 2012 what wouldn't be?) red fruit tending darker. Silkiness in spades with more savoury crunch of good acidity and more fine tannin. Better length than last year.

Med ruby. Stemmy red fruit and warm spice, very PN, very good. Lots more cherry and rhubarb, some secondary herbal malarkey. Fresh and silky. Quite some acidity, a little fine tannin. Then rather tails off. Very enjoyable nonetheless.
Red
Slightly reductive. Sappy whole bunch nose. Good fruit. Lovely palate weight and savoury secondary dried herb and sous bois. Well integrated acidity and super fine soft tannin. Hope that sulphurous pong calms down under stelvin.
Red
Beguiling nose. Fleshy sweet fruit. A touch of garrison to savoury core. Very approachable even as a young'un. Likey.

Pale rimmed ruby tending to brick. Bit of funk and iron. Raspberry and other blacker berries. Plum and raspberry, something truffley, spice and then lovely line. Tannins still there but much more rounded and incorporated into an almost seamless whole. A subtle length but by no means extravagantly powerful. This has come on leaps and bounds. Maybe another year or two? It is this as good as this one gets?

A real surprise package. Normally my least favoured of the sub regions, this was showing really plush fruit and cherry cola with enough savoury dried herbs to keep it interesting. Allied with decent acidity and plenty of fine fine tannin, I found myself loving the whole.

Great potential Here. Still a little tightly wound and quite primary just at the moment but great potential, imho
Red
Very pleasant, a touch simple? Falls off rather. How much did I pay for this?

dark ruby really good extraction, red and black cherry, some whole bunch sappiness, graphite and pencil shavings, a touch of mint. Perfume. Dried herbs as a savoury back note. Lovely briary red fruit, maraschino cherry balanced by acidity and a little super fine tannin. Adds up to a very pleasant PN drinking beautifully now, and could improve a little over a year or two, if not for the long term

Popped and poured straight from the cellar. Mid ruby, a rather reticent aroma which is savoury and quite serious with hints of bitter orange and earth. Light and delicate on the palate with hints of red berry and more earthy, savoury tobacco notes. Fine acidity follows with abundant but well-integrated, dry and dusty tannins. An excellent wine with food.

Excellent. Blackberry and spice with a lifted floral nite on the nose. Strawberries, blackberries and cream and a lovely vanillin note followed by fine tannin and acidity. A serious savoury thing without the persistence or intensity on the end of a great wine. Drinking ever so well, though.

About as in your face oz as i can stand. Dark dark fruit and vanilla. Blackberry spice pepper and length. Length. Length. Fine and insistent tannin and acidity. Proper.

Ruby to the rim without appreciable pallor. Dark fruit. Spice. Intense, concentrated dark berry fruit and vanilla with black pepper. Almost not Pinot-esque in its concentration. Certainly not a recognisably Mornington style for me. Outstanding concentration and length. Dry, fine tannin and acidity. This will age.

Excellent and improving. Bright ruby. Red fruit, perfume and dried herbs. More red and black cherry fruit, spice and sous bois that elongates thanks to fine-boned acidity and delicate tannins, returning withmore darker fruit and a dollop of vanillin sweetness on the long finish. Will keep improving for another five at lease if I can resist drinking it beforehand.

Deep ruby all the way to the rim, somewhat reticent nose of morello cherry with a touch of spice. Surprising black cherry to go with the expected blackberry fruit, cinnamon, wet gravel evolving into violets on the end through lovely super fine tannin and acidity. Impressive indeed, and I feel it may be a little dumb just at the moment.

Quite different from the previous bottle. Raspberry, red and black cherry fruit, spice and dried herbs on the nose. Lovely raspberry, black cherry and plummy fruit sweetness with dried thyme and plenty of super fine tannin and a nice line of acidity. Length and balance. What a shame that's it for my supply, I think it would continue improving for a good while yet...

Very, very smart. Red and black fruits and candied mandarin peel on the nose with spice and smoke. Thick black fruits, sweet plum and spice, another lick of wood smoke. Licorice and stones. Dense tannin accentuates power in the mouth without being overdone and good length and some surprisingly fine-boned acidity. Finishes mostly in balance. Maybe a trifle hot.

Oh so very young still. Quite correct, however, with bags of black fruit, capsicum, spice and savoury, almost acrid rubbery notes. Mucho acidity and fine tannins. This will last a good while and I should think improve in the medium term. I'll try and leave the rest of this for at least five years and probably more, and then rapproach with interest.

Dark ruby. Bramble and saline minerality. Lots of dark berries but also savoury cedar and a perfumed lift of white flowers. A touch of Viognier? Very good concentration, good balance with no great oak influence. Not a hint of heat. Elegant. Great value!

Pale ruby rim. Mineral and floral notes over a little red fruit. Soft, round red and black cherry fruit that finishes quite tartly with decent enough length and a little grip still, surprisingly. Really rather deliciously to my taste.

medium pale ruby. slighty closed and reticent on the pretty perfumed nose. red and black fruit, herbs and mineral glints and white flowers. nice line. quite taut and elegant, with very well-integrated supple tannins and merest hint of oak. youthful and... delicious. loads left on this at least 5 yrs, I'd hazard.

These were sent by mistake from my broker, I had ordered some lesser guigals. Underlines my sympathy for northern rhone style and that touch of viognier. Sharpens my interest in acquainting myself with windmills and turks. One day.

Some bottle funk after 17 yrs and cork slightly soft. Golden yellow to amber. Nose of astonishing freshness somewhat lean with a few white flowers. Honeyed notes follow fresh lemon and lime citrus and green apple. Then warm spice. A line of fresh acidity quite unexpected given age. Hint of petrol at end. Great length. Very enjoyable. Wish I had more, alas only bottle. Reckon it's got at least another 10 in it.

Medium ruby. Raspberry, something funky and slightly animal, mineral spiciness. More raspberry, graphite, linear acidity and abundant, currently rather overwhelming fine-grained tannin. Needs a good lie down, but would seem to have the structure to demand five years until next being bothered.

Deep ruby. Black berries and a vegetal note. Soft, quite elegant mouthfeel which plump, ripe blackcurrant primary fruit predominates, then some rather chalky tannin with little integration. Not great, but think this might improve a little after a lie down.
