Good, but needs much longer in the bottle. Very opulent and tropical but lacking complexity that will hopefully emerge with time.

Definitely not sweet as per the above review (this is the troken). Pale as water in colour and with massive amounts of acidity, this is a very good wine but will strip the enamel off your teeth!

Rich gold, really quite dry and sherried on the palate. Not bad per se, but not what you want from a Sauternes. Disappointing.

Deep garnet colour, very traditional nose of cedar and blackcurrant - little bit 'green'. Medium light bodied, very refreshing, very tasty. Excellent for it's age and price.

Amazing wine. Bought from auction, labels were falling off and mouldy, but the levels and cork were perfect. This wine had a colour not dissimilar from the 2005 poured next to it. A fabulous aromas of cedar and blackcurrant. Bit of barnyard but that blew off. A ripe, sweet wine, still with some tannin. Bought for £30/btl - my bargain and WOTY.
Red - Fortified

Oxidised, more like a bad tawny port. No fruit just heavy sherry aromas. Not sure what happened as the bottle was pristine. From 375ml.
White - Sweet/Dessert

Disappointing. Fairly mature, stewed nose without much definition. Very sweet and good acid. It's a good wine but expected more at this level.

Really good, a slight spritz, good acidity and an excellent concentration of flavour. Good buy at the price.

Thin and dilute with astringent tannins. Not much fruit to speak of - needs food. Shut down? Maybe it will come round, who knows?

UPDATE: On day threee this was much better, the fruit had really come out and was showing ripe spiced fruit with a really nice gingerbread / asian spice aromas. Maybe leave these for another 5 years min!
White - Off-dry

Mid golden colour, not incredibly aromatic but nice ripe aromas of overripe sultanas and a bit of petrol starting to come through. Sweet and could do with more acid.

Creamy grapefruit, mandarin and lime on the nose. Flawless taste with immense purity and intensity of flavour without showing off. Excellent!

So dark in colour - almost black. Enough acid to make this drinkable. Ok - not that complex but good enough.

This wine is in a really good place right now - tannins starting to mellow but definitely still there, good aromas of roses and fruit. A really nice wine.

Very nice..but way too young. Dominated by vanilla and oak at the moment. Leave for a while.

Dark, jammy - almost overripe, but not quite. Atypical but I enjoyed it.

Much better than a previous bottle. This bottle seems to have more tannins, depth and aromatics. For a basic bourgogne and at this price - it is fantastic. Shame this wasn't the case with the last bottle though!

This is a fantastically good QPR. Rich, savoury fruit and ripe tannins. I wish all 'cheap' Bordeaux could be this good.

Bought from The Wine Society. Upon opening the cork was soaked through and the top mouldy - like a 20yr+ old bottle. Mature nose, this is pleasent enough and easy to drink but lacking depth of flavour and complexity. Needs to be drunk ASAP!

Update: After a few hours this was pretty much undrinkable - most of it went down the sink.

Significant VA and a slight effervescense lead me to think that this was a flawed bottle, however, it was still drinkable but disappointing.

Upon opening this wine was ok, but was a bit unbalanced and hot. However the next day this wine was gorgeous - it really needs lots of air at the moment!

Very pale in colour with a fantastic nose of peach, pear, honey and a slight hint a petrol. Well balanced palate - not overly sweet with some minerality. Good length also. A really good riesling - but it should be for the price (£19)!

Suprisingly good. Lots of dark fruit, great concentration and no jamminess. Still very tannic but great now and in another 10 years .

Bought from the Wine Society where it was advertised as "a bottle stored in our cellars with some additional age". Bright gold in colour with fantastic aromas of honey, yeast and brazil nuts. On the palate, a vibrant fizz but more subdued than you would expect from a fresh bottle. Excellent.
