Lots of bacon, on the palate. Mid-palate almost non-existent,finishing weak. i find this very thin and tasteless.

Exceptional bottle. Nice oak overtones, but not too strong.

Definitely got blueberries plus a little smoke as soon as I popped the cork. The cork had crystals on it and I found a chunk of them in my glass. They did not affect the wine, but I recommend filtering this one. Nice chewy, fruit forward PS. Kind of so-so on the mid-palate with a smooth yet tanniic finish.

I had some of the Petit Verdot tonight. Sparkles on the cork, color is dark garnet, almost totally opaque. Good body, but I can't taste any fruit through the tannins. It gives me that "grit your teeth and shiver" feeling. Not favorable.

Though very smooth, I thought it was a little on the thin side. The legs were long but disappeared quickly. The color was deep purple and garnet. Dark fruit on the nose and palate. Short finish.

I liked the taste of this wine, but like I said, it seemed a bit on the thin side. I would recommend drinking this one sooner rather than later.

I drank the Merlot this week over the course of three days. I am the sole wine drinker in the house.
The first day I had two glasses. Pretty, clear deep red color with good legs. Dark fruits on the palate, but a little wild, I thought. Second day: One glass much more mellow and still a bit wild. Day three: Great! Now I can really taste the fruit and some black licorice. Great mouth feel, smooth on the back palate. IMO, this wine should be cellared for a while to tame it a bit.

By Brad Harrington: Wow, this is the best Chilean Syrah I have EVER tasted! Very clean and well made. Full of roasted blackberry fruit with espresso and a hint of char. Full bodied wine that is deftly balanced, comes off as smooth and elegant while maintaining depth and intensity. If you ever wanted to try a Chilean Syrah, this is a good one!

This Syrah is everything you would expect a Syrah to be. Nice structure for a good mouth feel.

This tasted a bit sour to me. Puckered me right up! Not my fave.

This has become one of my favorite everyday drinkers. Very smooth, but not overly complex. The blend works great.

Upon opening, the cork bottom had a deep purple tinge and a smell of must and earth. At first pour, the beautiful deep garnet color of the wine reminded me of the forthcoming holidays. I poured a bit into my moderately priced Reidel Vivant red wine stems I just received as a gift and decanted the rest of the bottle. This Petite Syrah has long legs that hold on to the sides of the glass. The first sip was a bit tannic, but it settled down quite nicely with time in the decanter.

There was earth and fresh air on the nose. Berries, earth and smooth oak on the palate. The finish was neither too long nor short with a some spice and a dreamy warmth.

This wine just got better and better as time passed. I was surprised and pleased at the tendency of this wine to get slightly sweeter as it stood open to the air.

Not my favorite merlot. Tongue-numbing alcohol, heavy tannins, not much structure.
