Rather good value. Ageworthy. Thick-set. Super-tasty. Well-integrated oak. An easy pleasure-giving wine, twisting Bordeaux in a Spanish style.

'Dry' is right. Over-oaked and over here!

I opened this with trepidation. It had been included by mistake in a case of Gevrey. A bit of a pleasant surprise (I fervently hoped) Decanted and immediately concerned about the sherry yellow colour. But, after a while, on tasting it developed a wonderfully honeyed, mature flavour. It develops on the palate, giving way to classic Meursault nuttiness, with a long reach. Just enough acidity to support it. Well done Mr Wragg et al!

3/15: Grenache on the entry, fantastic maturity, heat, different colours through the palate, evolving with time. A wine of the like I'd not tasted before. Even better with meaty food. Good length. Bought from the cellar door in 2008.

Pale straw. Quiet nose. Slight spritz. lovely balance of acidity and fruit richness. Subtle petrol note. Long length that keeps evolving. A pleasure.

There was something so unusual about this wine, from the moment I tasted it on our wedding anniversary, with skirt of beef, back in 2010. Really - is a beaujolais supposed to be so refined, tannin laden, complex? But it is! And so, having bought a few subsequent to my restaurant encounter, I dared open a bottle, lest it all be going Pete Tong early doors. No, not at all. Wonderful development, beautiful colour, fine rim, refined tannins, autumn and winter fruits, good length. My wife says drink it now, but everyone here says 'keep'. What to do?

Cork in excellent condition. Wonderful colour, muted nose, meaty palate. Varietal and geographical typicity. Residual well resolved tannins. Time to drink up. Having drunk a case of this wine over the last 5+ years, I suspect a fair amount of bottle variation (not including ageing).

Bought from the Vieux Telegraph domaine in '08. Kept at even temperature (16-20C) since. Complicated, weighty, tannis build beautifully. Spicy. Will last some time yet. Drunk with French-style distressed and raw steak burgers.

Brought out of Corsham 7 years ago and kept at stable cooler room temperature since. On opening - cork in excellent shape. On decanting - any sediment stuck to side of bottle - easy to decant. Colour, deep, deep reddy-brown, with thin rim. Nose - mushrooms, a wonderful intensity. Palate - recognisably special, undergrowth, leather, tobacco. Silky mouthfeel, still with some grip. Might last a bit longer but wouldn't improve. A thoroughly satisfying wine.

Brick colour, fine rim. Violets on the nose. Leather and violets on the palate. Refined tannins. Still drinking well. Probably a few more years in it.
