we open a 1987 most years for our anniversary and this is the best to date.

corked was splayed about 2/3 up the cork but not evenly. about 1/2 the cork was splayed. A small piece broke off while opening and we filtered the wine.

Opened for our 30th. Cork was pretty soft. Raspberry cherry musty wood nose. Medium intensity with caramel age showing around the edges. Earthy soy soapy nose. Slight vinegar it is 30 years old but not enough to take away an amazing cellar span. Still nice acid feel in the mouth. A little forest floor yet the fruit pops out over it. Raspberry on the tongue. The tanins stay along for the ride too. Great with a steak dinner. Even better with dark chocolate. Wow, Stacy.
