Pulled this out for no particular reason. Maybe since CT has an upcoming drink before date. Very pleasant on the front end with luscious dark smooth fruit, but quite extracted on the back end. Didn't think it would be that syrupy 10 years in.

I really enjoyed, a little more of an edge than their cab, but pleasantly different. Guess that's what they say about variety. Worked very well with a spicy marinade ribeye.

Not sure what I expected, seem to be hit or miss with Italian wines, but this is a beauty. Drinking really well, beautiful lush fruit, complex, smooth, long finish....quite pleased. As was the missus.

Not well known, but quite good. Pairs well with food, has a very long finish. This bottle seemed to be a bit thin but have enjoyed in the past.

Remarkably good. Very pleasant ripe fruit, fairly complex and smooth with a bit of a decant. Probably should have bought a case or two.

This is a delicious 100% zin. Lots of sediment. Has aged quite well. Ripe smooth purple fruit, very long finish. Probably was a bargain 17 years ago...

Fruits and tannins are fading. Has become quite smooth, very slight pinot like cherry tart on the back end. Decent, but not disappointed that this was my last RC.

On day one, this is almost undrinkable unless you like chugging cough syrup. Way too extracted, crazy disjointed fruit. Much better on days 1 & 2, so not sure how this will age. I'm thinking ideally to try in 3-4 years, but probably won't remember my thoughts when I pop the next one.

A bit of a surprise. Popped at a wine tasting involving no wine snobs. Smooth, muted, integrated - not necessarily a crowd pleaser. Finished the bottle two nights later and the nose was quite pronounced and pleasant, and the wine was more structured. Hard to believe after 26 years.

Described as rich and opulent, may be due to the petite sirah - found it to be a "middle-of-the-road" blend for Ridge. Solid pleasant dark fruit but nothing spectacular.
