Wasn't expecting much from the '11 vintage but was pleasantly surprised. A full-bodied dark wine with rich purple fruit. Didn't taste the ~15% alcohol. Better with food. Nice finish, a bit delicate.

Too big and bold on opening. With an hour or two becomes a full-bodied rich plush wine with not quite gobs of purple and dark fruit. Big finish. Thought it might be too much but mellows with air. A bit surprised the drinking window is through '22 as it seems this would last longer.

The missus thought it was "light" for a chardonnay. Don't know what that means.

Big surprise. Didn't know if I was going to like this, 10 years after purchasing. Very pleasant full-bodied dark fruit wine, neither new world or old. Maybe a 50-50 mix without the great nose of old world wines. Drinking well, nice finish.

P&P. Great fruit up front. Wonderful nose. Started drinking at about two hours. Very integrated dark fruit, much more old world than new. Finish goes on and on. Aroma in the glass sticks around longer. Shows the variety of Cali wines, but much too dry for the missus.

Full-bodied, still aging well, becoming less of a fruit bomb (well slightly anyway).

Quite fresh/still drinking well. Full-bodied, complex vibrant fruit, with the zesty cherry tart and the end. I'm not a pinot connoisseur and I'm guessing this isn't as subtle as many others. But enjoyable (unlike many others...)

Improves with air. Dark, full-bodied. Fruit is pleasant and deep, but somewhat muted c/w other Carlisles. Noticeable tannins that add a bit of acidity, making this not a "smooth" wine. Still tasting the finish.

A slight step-up from the '15 old vines, but not to the point that it reaches the single vineyard Turleys.

Enjoyable but not remarkable. Don't think I'd buy again. The shiraz is better.

Very pleasant wine with a touch of old world. Paired with filet, better with food, could somewhat stand on its own. Nice fruit, somewhat muted, smooth, nice finish.

A BIG wine. This is rich and intense and full-bodied. I didn't get the tannins but may get better with time. No real rough edges, but also not completely integrated at this point. Very nice fruit, just a lot of it.

Pretty solid med-full bodied cab. Well-blended fruit, not overly ripe, with minimal alcohol or tannins. Drinking very well, quite smooth, but lacking some complexity.

Probably needs to sit in the glass for a couple of hours. An 89 on opening, probably a 92 on finishing, about 3 hours later. Medium to full bodied, pleasant integrated fruit that pairs well with food.

Decided to try the '16 as I think I ordered a couple of cases to many. Really hit the spot with medium rare burgers. A bit like a potent grape juice but in a good way. Probably can pop and pour. Deep purple. Explosive complex fruit. Long finish.

Not sure I appreciate this wine. Received a recent offer and all said am not buying additional wines. If it's just the vintage, please feel free to comment and let me know. Medium bodied fairly standard fruit. I think it's in the right drinking window, but many wines are much better.

Opened and tried because the '16 offers just came. The missus looked at the label several times as she enjoyed it. There's a lot going on, lots of fruit, hasn't quite settled down yet, no sediment in the bottle. We're guessing it's going to be quite good and ordered the '16s. Won't try the '15 for another year or two.

Have become a fan of K-vintners. Nice plush fruit, reasonably complex, and very solid for an entry level wine.

Top 20% of Turley wines. Rich, lush, ripe fruit - obviously full-bodied but not over the top. Big finish. Had with pizza in San Diego.

Has become the "missus'" favorite wine. Benefits from some air. Otherwise quite good and drinking well. Hope the '16 & '17 are equally good.

Very nice wine, thumbs up from the missus. Fairly full bodied, guess that's the PS. Sensuous is probably a good description. Smooth bold fruit.

Drank in Boise. Label caught the eye of the waiter. Very pleasant full bodied wine. Food was rich and little deep fried, but an excellent wine.

Drank over two nights in Sun Valley. Couldn't really decant and stemware wasn't the greatest. However, not the most remarkable wine. Probably expecting more. Fairly muted fruit. Medium bodied.

Smooth and full-bodied. Not overly complex and nothing jumps out to say this wine is special. Was hoping this bottle would sway me one way or the other on the '16 offerings, but I'm still undecided.

Very solid Turley. Could almost make an argument to buy the old vines and not spend the extra $ for the vineyard specific Turleys. But I don't.

The missus raved about it but I thought it on the lower half of the Turley line up. The alcohol is noticeable but not overpowering. To me, the fruit is just kind of there but I was corrected and told the fruit is ripe with fresh purple tones. Both agree the finish is long.

One of my least favorite sagrantinos. Very hot, don't know if it still needs to chill for a few years. Fruit is relatively bland and crushed by the EtOH and heat. Not sure this is a tannin thing that will morph into a good wine in a few years. Otherwise have been a big fan of Sagrantinos.

This is an outstanding wine. Gave it about two hours of air. Nose is unremarkable. The wine is full-bodied, wonderfully smooth, a bit understated, with a blend of complex dark blue and red fruit. Paired incredibly well with filet. 30 second finish. Drinking really well.
