Really nice. Rich garnet with a watery rim. Like a fruit bowl full of ripe raspberries, blackberries, black cherries, and plums, all macerating with some sugar. There is a clear vanilla oaky note that I could take or leave, but isn't unpleasant. It's well managed.

For me, more oak on the nose than palate. The mouthfeel manages to be smooth, rich, silky without straying into viscous or overbearing. Ripe red fruits, some deep damp soil, and cocoa on the finish. Acidity is medium and the tannins are gentle. The structure leads me to believe this is more of drink-soon wine rather than a long term ager, but it sure is good now.

I should mention, even though it's a 2020 California wine, there's not a hint of smoke. This wine is squeaky clean; purchase without fear!

If ever there was a Sauvignon Blanc that had some Riesling sensibilities…

Seriously though, I am a dedicated Sauvignon Blanc skeptic. I have tried so many, from Vatan to Dageneau to Bevan to Cloudy Bay, and I just cannot find a way to love it. The Massican Sauvignon Blanc came close. The Bedrock Steaks of William Holden or whatever came close. This wine comes closer. The fruit is all about citrus and peach (sounds like Riesling), the acidity is front and center (sounds like Riesling). There is a simultaneously chalky and creamy note on the finish, and a hit of herbs that don’t seem like Riesling, but then the mouthwatering acidity kicks in again. Hmm…I could like this. Maybe. I’ll leave a couple of glasses in the bottle to see tomorrow night. Keeping an open mind.

Similar to the 2017. However, darker in color which shows on the palate. On the palate silky smooth just enough sweetness, but by no means heavy or syrupy. But it does have more weight than last year, Still has the flowery honey with Meyer lemon infused juice. On the finish I find myself trying to extract as much of the lemony/honey/flower off of my tongue but there is a slight amount of tartness. Another winner.

Super ripe pear, peach, mango, lychee, roses, and perfume notes with a nice citrus backbone. Rose water and orange zest finish. Yummy but syrupy sweet — dessert in a glass. Expensive.

I love this wine. Juicy acidity, smoky, violets, licorice, pepper, eucalyptus, dark fruits, but this wine is all about savoriness.
I heard the ‘19’s will be the last of Enz for Bedrock. Still have 2 more 18’s and some 19’s on the way. May sit on the rest for a bit.

Still singing! If you have this wine, your going to be happy. Decant for 1 hour and enjoy a dusty colored pinot with a pretty nose that is very representative of the wine. Big fruit that tastes of light candied cherry, rhubarb, raspberry and spice. Very light body with huge flavor. Long, long, finish. This wine has years in front of it. Well made start finish.

Deep dark purple color. Open from the get go. Meaty savory verve mixed with ripe purple fruit. White pepper mixed in. Really solid new world Syrah. Chewy tannins. In a youthful exuberance phase.

Vermouth, smoked beef, wet leather, white pepper and a little blue fruit. Peaking, this will not get any better. A medium-long finish and a lot of depth. More of an initial ripe style that has panned out nicely. Drink now.

Disappointing showing. The nose was slightly musty and time and air did not help it. Dark fruit on the palate but just a bit faded; some spice notes. Tannins are nicely resolved, good acidity and balance. Short undistinguished finish. Nothing stands out here and the mustiness is off-putting. Perhaps it was better younger. Parker's review would have you believe that this would go out through 2035 -- nonsense. No score because of age, but it would be a 79 if I was posting a score for the record.
