Faded after 90 minute's.
Very enjoyable old wine. So smooth.

But the extraordinary evolution of the palate is the key note.
Flavours just run and run.
This wine has plenty (10+) of life left.
Sadly these were the last 2 in my cellar

Long lasting flavour, slightly drier finish

Better than last bottle, still plenty left in large format.

More expressive with time in the glass and over time

I fear that I opened the first bottles in a ‘closed’ window for the wine. This was sublime, like the last.

Late 1990s white burgundy without oxidation. What a treat.

Light golden, intense nose, citrus, honey, white peach/nectarine, white flowers

High acidity, dry but rich legs in the glass, mouthful of white fruits,
Alcohol medium
Flavour runs for minutes.
Improved over the hour it lasted, probably because it warmed a little.

What a treat. One left. No rush.

More dried red fruits, pepper, hints of dried citrus (peel) without the sweet stickiness.
Palate goes on and on
From magnum. Wonderful mature Rhône Syrah. This may not improve but it will surely last for another 10-15 years

From Magnum. Decanted 1 hour, should have been longer as wine developed significantly over time.

Deep Garnet with a hint of purple
Intense nose
Black fruits, gentle sweetness of drying fruit, not honeyed, verbena, floral herb (lavender?)
Acidity M, tannins fully resolved, alcohol M, glorious balance
Taste lasted way beyond any count.

Probably the best, most balanced CabernetI have tasted in the past 10 years. If there is perfection in wine, this vintage of Ridge comes very close. An extraordinary wine, will easily go another decade if well stored.

Case of 6 bought on release. 1 bottle lightly corked. 1 bottle slightly more developed. 4 in perfect condition. Life left for those who enjoy older wine
