Maybe too much oak for some, but I loved it. Lots of pear and apple.

Nice wine. A little more fruit than most burgundy. Still drinking well.

Still plenty of good flavor and depth here, especially for a wine of this price.

More complex than most Williams Selyem wines, showing nice terroir in addition to just pure fruit. Is it the vintage? Holding up nicely if cellared properly.

Wow! Give this wine an hour of air and it opens up with beautiful layers of flavor and complexity. This is one of the best California surprises I have ever had.

Tasted after opening and found it to be thin, which made me worried there wasn't much there. After a few hours it had opened up and filled out nicely, showing fruit and structure. Not spectacular but a very solid wine.

Huge wine and still very young, but after getting some air it was pretty luscious and tasty. Would recommend decanting for a few hours.

Excellent new chardonnay from a new winery. The wine showed beautiful restraint allowing mutliple flavors of fruit and minerality to come through with good crispness. This is more of a french style chardonnay, so the terrior is there to be appreciated as opposed to being dominated by oak and butter. The balance and acid made it nice both as a drinking wine and as an accompaniment to the meal (halibut with a buerre blanc sauce). Needed 10 minutes of air to lose a tiny bit of fizz.

Brand new release from brand new winery that has great vineyards (some grapes go to Littorai) and great winemaker (Anthony Filiberti). This blend of Demuth and Cerise vineyard grapes is approachable now, with nice fruit flavor and floral aroma. It needed 15 minutes for the heat to blow off, then showed as a very nicely balanced, drinkable wine with an impressive QPR. Looking forward to the single vineyard releases later this year.

Really excellent CA '07 Pinot, and a more interesting selection from a vintage that is almost too consistent. Reminds me of the Brewer-Clifton Santa Rita Hills pinot, with both wines keeping the cherry flavor under control and having nice balance (some terroir showing through) and depth.

Drank in winetasting alongside the '07 WS Ferrington. The Westside Road was lighter and had more cherry. The Ferrington had a bit more structure and depth and was preferred by most. We'll see how they are in a year or two.

This is an example where an '06 is developing into something really delicious. Great balance and fruit. Maybe a tad light, but less so than many '07 pinots from the region.

Much more of a nose than other '07 Sonoma Coast Pinots I've had, and the nose didn't have much relationship to the flavor of the wine. The strange scent might have come from a wine glass that may have been exposed to too much dishwasher detergent. Second glass was better, with the typical light pleasant fruit you get from this vintage. We'll see how the next bottle goes.

The 2007 Pinots from Anderson Valley are very nice, albeit generally on the lighter side. The Kite's Rest actually had more body, especially on the second night, than other 2007 AV Pinots such as Anthill and Hirsch (both great). Not as much going on as the more expensive Williams Selyem Ferrington, but an excellent wine.

Nice, medium bodied WS pinot that is drinkable now, like many good '07 California pinots. These wines are tasting like slightly lighter style french burgundies, with nice fruit. Very exciting vintage.

This wine was brought to our house for a party, so I had no expectations of it when i opened it a few months later. Very drinkable malbec that is more medium bodied than other malbecs I've tasted. I will defintely buy more as an everyday wine. Great value.

I use this wine to convert Rombauer drinkers into something more interesting, and to get them a step towards white burgundy. It is a big Chardonnay but with much more balance and complexity.

I think this is a little underrated. Nice balance with some complexity. Holding up well for a zinfandel, and actually a more interesting than the '03 Ridge Geyserville.

Drank after a Sbragia Chardonnay, which was a mistake. The two wines were much too different and we were in full party mode so we opened and poured. More syrup than expected, like an aged Chenin Blanc. This definitely needs time to open up, and not my favorite style of Montrachet. Will decant the other bottle and try with lobster or crab.
