Still nice! New Year's Eve gamble - everyone who tasted it liked it. Pale gold with tiny bubbles: Very bubbly, not flat at all or 'tainted' as an earlier reviewer reported. Nose is yeasty, green apple, pear. Not much more but stayed effervescent for 24 hours, topped with pressured capper. Well worth the wait. Might have been better a few years earlier, but again, who cares - very enjoyable esp at this age!! Storing it properly upright in temp controlled cellar may have added to longevity.

The wine looks Inky colored and smell includes Black Pepper, and Blackberry. It tastes like Blackberry, Cherry and just a tiny bit of leather. The body is Medium. Smooth texture with a medium finish. A thoroughly enjoyable wine. Too bad I've only got one more. Really glad I waited.

Fullpour is right, MUCH colder is better. Vinturi improved it a bit by minimizing some of the burnt taste, but 'off' fruit flavor remained unappreciated by the 4 people who tasted and rejected it. woot off selection. Better wines locally at same or lower price. 70 is generous. Wish I had the first reviewer's (CaptM) positive experience - seems like we were drinking 2 completely different wines.

Little heat, not overbearing fruit, no tartness. No complexity. Overall a nice if not great Syrah. Good for the price. Not sure what the last taster found objectionable, perhaps it was the bottle or the storage. My cellar is pretty consistent in little temp variation, dark , etc. Some of the lower priced wines I've kept have seemed better than a lot of the reports I read here.

Fruity nose, initial intense alcohol bite, then kind of flat, no real fruit or other flavor except for slight hint of leather. 2nd day even flatter. Has it died, already?

Used most of the bottle for classic moules mariniere, ala Julia Child, with a bonanza of extremely fresh mussels we never usually see in our part of the country. Recipe was ultimately a bit too sweet for some reason - might have had better results with a more intense wine. But, the mild taste of the mussels came through and guests were pleased, so would use it again for company recipe safety, rather than experimenting with an untried wine. As always, this bottle is good value for the low wine.woot price.

Ran through Vinturi which lessened intense alcohol 'bite'. Definitely Fruity, but unable to really place exactly what we were smelling. Leads a bit to the bland, no intense identifiable flavors, but not objectionable fruit bomb. Overall, a nice-ish innocuous red, but you should be able to get similar at much lower prices. Wish we could have experienced the flavors the previous commenter noted. Very little tannins noticed.

Crisp, pleasant nose. Wife really enjoyed (and she usually won't touch sparkling wines!) Lots of bang for the buck.

Cough medicine or 'cepacol', as one earlier reviewer noted, would be very generous notes. Everyone at dinner recoiled in horror, but it made my fall back $10 wine taste like a decent Chateau Margaux.

Very fruity, little to no heat. Not too sweet. Simple and forgettable, tho not obnoxious. Surprisingly better than what I'd have thought for anything labeled 'elvis'!

Even better than the last. Seems to have mellowed out over the past year.

Ok for the price. Nothing special. Improved dramatically 2nd day.

Bright and crisp? How about almost tasteless? After all the hype on wine.woot and here, expected something much much better. Slightly flavored alcoholic water. Forgettable. This would be a nice, innocuous liquid to serve to people who were afraid of wine, but wanted something other than chilled water. They wouldn't even notice it. I give it an 'average' rating because it did not offend: just wasn't anything there.

I usually don't post many public notes, but this wine just rubbed me the wrong way (a total vacuum of flavor), and I thought I might save someone a few bucks they could spend experimenting with something else.

LOL, sounds kind of harsh, but honest!

Side by side comparison with a day-opened bottle of Woot 'toothie'. Nobody could tell the difference, until we told them they were two different bottles! Should we have brought in the experts? both bottles were enjoyable, unlike the first bottle of EHP which was foul when opened a day or two after delivery.

Previous comments were pretty close. Altho I didn't get the heavy alcohol hit, the wine tasted 'flat' and rather dead. Thin and watery was the way other tasters here described it. Barely worth the price paid. I will not buy this one again, if available. Was not obnoxious or off-tasting, just flat and thin and not very tasty.

Nothing special at all. A bit sour. Woot Humbug consumed same night was met with much greater appreciation by 3 drinkers.

Much much better last night! Smooth, without decanting!, all roughness gone and fruit more integrated. Wish I had more.

Musty, off-taste on opening. 45 minutes in glass did little to improve. Remainder of bottle refrigerated: will re-taste in 24 hours.

With chicken and rice dinner, R thought one of the best she's tasted in a long time. Not overly buttery, not 'intrusive' just a pleasant nice wine.
