The 2017 is not a Beaujolais Nouveau; it's a Beaujolais, from the village of St. Etienne la Varenne. Beautiful ruby color, subtle aromas of red fruits, with some floral hints (hyacinths and violets). Medium to full-bodied with strawberry, raspberry, and black cherry fruit and a subtle earthiness. This Brouilly has soft tannins and is made to drink in its youth.

This blend is more Merlot than the other grapes it's blended with. It has a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Chambourcin blended with the Merlot. It has hings of raspberries and spicy oak. It goes well with Creole food and some Italian food.
