This is big, still young wine. After an hour it mellowed a bit, but still has big tannins, lots of dusty cherry and cocoa, and a lot of vanilla (French oak?).

Was concerned that top of cork was stained, but wine was ok. Raspberries and blackberries on the nose. A little over oakes but nice rasp and blackberry taste. Popped and poured but really mellowed on glass fir about 30 minutes. Could age a year or two longer

Had at a party from an imperial. Brick color. Nice nose of cherries and cherry compote. Cherries and prunes on palate. Medium finish with well balanced acid. Very smooth wine.
