A little rustic expression of Chambolle-Musigny, yet still quite elegant. Red berries and rose petals as well as a green note. Firm tannins for a CM.

At a nice place right now but will easily hold 5-8 years in the cellar.

600 bottles only.

Refined Garnacha with aromas of red flowers, dark red berries, and herbs. On the palate, it has very mature tannins and a nice touch og white pepper. Very mineral.

As the other wines from this producer, the wine was clearly best right at opening.

Classic Mosel Kabinett, although without the x-factor that some of Dr. Hermann's other wines have showed recently.

Great QPR although still too young.

On day one, the oak was overpowering the minerality as well as the acidity. On the second day, it was way more balanced.

Hold.

Compared to the Erdener Treppchen 6, this seems more green, less deep, but also lighter and fresher.

Green pear, lime, grape, spointi, slate. Lovely acidity.

79 Öchsle, blue slate, fuder and steel, sponti fermentation.

Aromas of lemon, wet slate, crisp pear, Granny Smith, lime, a little sponti.

On the palate, it’s very Light, yet intense. Only 7,5 % abv. Crispy, slate, lovely acidity.

Drinks lovely right now but has more potential. Crazy QPR.

Very light red in the glass, transparent.

Cranberries, forest strawberries, some cool spices on the nose. Very elegant.

On the palate, it has a little more impact with spices like white pepper and a nice bitter note.

Still, it's crazy that it's a Danish wine.

Made from a blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Viognier, Verdelho, Roussanne, Marsanne, Semillon Gris, Semillon Blanc, Palomino and Colombard and aged seperately in both amphora and concrete.

Quite yellow in the glass with aromas of some tropical fruit, popcorn, lemon, green apple. It is, though, a wine for the palate - almost creamy texture with an almost salty grip and a quite long finish. Medium+ acidity in this vintage.

I would hold for a few more years to really unfold.

Disgorged 02/23.

Somewhat fresher than earlier tastings, maybe due to the quite recent disgorgement.

Anyways, this Champagne always delivers.

Lots of different apples, lime ginger, white pepper, peaches, white flowers, some herbal notes as well. Quite complex nose.

On the palate, it's a little broader than German Riesling, and the acidity is a little lower, but it still feels very fresh and food-friendly. Lots to dive in.

Drink or hold.

Slow-oxed in the bottle in a cool environment.

Ethereal nose with lots of floral aromas (dried as well as some fresh), sweet tobacco, red and a hint of purple berries, licorice, tar, lots of cherries, a little vanilla.

Nice acidity and freshness despite the the warm vintage - grippy, but not overpowering tannins.

More potential to come - hold.

A very fresh, yet intense cherry wine made from Danish "stevnsbær" - a darker, more tannin-filled cherry with more acidity as well.

Served cool, I got some lighter aromas of strawberries and flowers, but more dominant are aromas of kirch, spices, a little pepper, and some dark berries. Quite vibrant and nicely drinking already.

A go to red wine for Christmas dinner.

More potential on the long run.

Lime, thai basil, red apple, wet stone, tangerine, green tea, unripe peach. Lovely acidity and a somewhat less full-bodied feel than expected - more like a kabinett, but with spätlese intensity.

I would still cellar for some more years but it's really hard not to like right now.

A somewhat masculine CM, yet still very elegant.

The fruit is a little darker than usual, spices, hints of licorice.

Very clean and complex - needs air. Will hold another decade easily.

Hold.

Gramont's wines are a little rustic in style, yet still typical Burgundy.

It has some of the typical VR-notes like blueberries, licorice, and a little sweet tobacco, as well as red berries and barnyard.

Light and deep at the some time.

Drinks nicely at the moment.

Hard to rate, actually. Did not feel like a typical Burgundy, rather Brunello or even Bordeaux. Quite dark and tannic interpretation - more plum and cherry than strawberries etc.

Late released.

Somewhat classic Meursault, yet not as broad as other wines.

Deep and buttery nose as well as palate. Fruit forward, peaches, banana wine gum, lovely acidity. Intense, but not heavy.

Hold or drink.

Disgorged 2019, 7 g/l.

Smooth and deep nose with aromas of some oxidized fruit, a bit of autolytic notes, as well as lemon. A little butter as well.

It has a nice acidity still - I would hold.

Chocolate, prunes, black tea, some dried fruit. Very long finish. Doesn't feel sweet.

Not a great year, but a nice wine nonetheless.

Cloudy garnet in the glass. Very mature on the nose and quite soft on the palate. A great finish, although I found it to miss a little freshness.

Drink.

More than 16 years on the lees, disgorged in 2015, late release from Gratien's cellar.

Lovely complexity - depth, width, and acidity are all there. Clean and fresh, yet mature. A very satisfying champagne.

Drink or hold - will develop further in the cellar due to the late disgorgement and release.

Quite golden color. Aromas of seashells, rye, butter, and some citrus. Lovely depth, although some oxidation are present. Maybe a hint of a downward development from here.

Drink.

I experienced this wine to be way too young at this moment - far better on day 2 and 3.

That being said, it really hits the sweetspot between dry and prädikat. Lovely acidity. I just miss some of the maturity of the spätlese fruit right now.

Hold.

At the first somewhat tight-knitted, more open on the second. The fruit is on the darker side, although the tightness developed into a more velvety mouthfeel (hence Vosne-Romanee origin).

It has some potential, I think - would pair very well with food.

Hold a year or two.

Very juicy and exciting wine right from the bottle. Hints of VA as well as an almost tickling acidity makes for a great experience.

Nose: Barnyard (reminiscent of a natural wine), red flowers, slightly candied red berries.

Palate: Very mineral with quite high acidity for a Grenache, very finely grained tannin, red grape.

Lovely style - and drinks nicely now.

Great QPR!

Tasted against Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Côte d'Or Cuvée des Forgets 2019 with this one being the most closed with, yet with more potential.

Nose: A little matchstick reduction, needs lots of air, a slight green aroma, some spices, candied lemon, chalky.

Palate: Here it really shows its potential, even though the fruit seems muted. Lovely mouthfeel with some kind of lactic grip to it. Medium+ acidity.

Hold.

Tasted against Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chardonnay Bourgogne 2019 with Javillier being the most open and drinkable wine at the moment.

Nose: hazelnut skin, lightly bruised apple (hint of oxidation), baking spices, white wine gum.

Medium acidity and finish.

Drinks very nicely at the movement.

Not as open as expected - but feels a little aged as well. The fruit is not that present, and the wine has a rustic feel for a red Burgundy, as I often find from this winemaker. It drank more easily and day 2 and 3.

Notable oak, blackcurrant, almost like unfermented juice. Tannins from the quite heavy use of oak.

Big wine first and foremost.

Rose hip, dark berries, pepper, tobacco. Smells nice.

Some fleshy fruit on the palate with vanilla and a nicely integrated acidity.

It's not a Burgundy nor Spätburgunder but might fit somewhere in between in this vintage at least. You can feel the 2/3 new oak in this one. Will age nicely.

Drink or hold (if you can hold of it...).

Small yields and late harvest leads to high concentration.

Quite yellow in the glass. Intense aromatics of stone fruit, salty lemons, very ripe pear. On the palate, it is almost oily but in a nice way as it has a nice bitter grip to it. Nice length.

Elderflower, wine gum, slight oxidation on the palate back end. A little short finish but very well made.
