Flawless! drank '15 and '16, 750ml, both are perfection with personal preference towards '15. At this point, do decant it, we did 6 hours and the rewards was absolutely worth the wait! You won't get the experience if you don't give it enough time.

opened half bottle, decanted for a little over 1 hr.
needs more time, but was impatient. it’s fantastic other than it is still in need of time to balance out, especially alcohol, phenomenal long finish.
don’t drink yet, needs yrs (5? minimum) to integrate but once it does, it is gonna be killer for many decades. really many decades!! large formats (3L+) for your grandchildren when they’re adults

Got this for a friend's 50th bday party. Convinced him to drink over 2 days instead of gobbling it up right away, so this was decanted, tried initially and then enjoyed over 24 hrs. Durand corkscrew. cork was in excellent condition, I think another decade of laying down is not a problem at all. clearly this bottle was stored properly all this time. not a lot of sediment - I was a bit surprised.
As it opened up, it performed as expected and was just an excellent elixir to enjoy. became more balanced with time, for a 1972, producer etc., this port hit it out of the park for the occasion. Would drink again for 60th!. solid 94

Opened and enjoyed over 4 hrs. I can say that this is very powerful and full-bodied from the start. At the opening, the glycerin/alcohol was there overpowering at the finish. Not a huge detriment though, subsided into finesse over 3 hrs. This juice was amazing from the get go. However, 3 hrs later after a decant, this was outstanding, very fine and balanced all around. I think another 4 yrs laying down and this is just getting close to perfection all around.

For those who love lots of fruit, you will like this. For me there's too much fruit at the moment. I think I agree with the other comment for a few more yrs to try again, but structurally I think this is a wine you don't lay down for long, drink it with food that benefits from such big fruit.

picked up at an auction. The bottle was in perfect condition, I was quite stunned at how well it was kept.
cork was perfect, you must use proper tool for an old cork regardless. I was able to get it out without breaking. took my time!
I can't really add much more than what PORTFANATIC said on 12/20/2020.
I do recommend decanting over a long time, will try it over several days next time. This time this port just got gobbled up by everyone... :) it was smooth and light

This is an exceptional wine. Opened half bottle, did not decant for very long, couldn't stay away... it began to open up just with 20 mins, but didn't last that long due to half bottle... ha! even with half bottle, this wine should be left alone for at least 3+ yrs at this point.
