Dark yellow in color. Took a while to open up. Nice, clean discreet nose. Good fruit, presence of oak, but not overpowering. Very nice with grilled fish.

This is quite impressive and rich wine. Should be combined with red meat. Our chicken dish was a bit overpowered by the wine.

Decanted for 4 hours. As expected, this wine is still at an adolescent stage and tannins are overpowering. It has all the elements in place to become an enjoyable Barolo. Needs 3-5 years of further cellaring. Good quality for the price.

2009 Château Duhart-Milon Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
3/19/2021 - Tony T Likes this wine:

Decanted for 2 hours. Drinks very well right now with nice dark berry flavour and a pleasant hint of charred meat. Soft tannins. This wine is still so full of energy that it will no doubt improve during the next 2-3 years.

Decanted for about 1.5 hours. The bottle had quite a lot of sediment, so be careful when decanting. The wine is still pretty closed with high level of tannins. Should be cellared for a couple of more years.

Had my previous bottle of 2010 Tignanello six years ago. Although the wine was now still very good, I would have expected it to be much more interesting. Maybe just some bottle variation.

A slight disappointment. The power and fruit are there but the wine is missing complexity. Could 2-3 years of further cellaring help?

A decent bottle of Bordeaux. Nicely complemented the meal. A bit short on fruit and will probably not improve with further cellaring. Drink now.
