Not much has changed - which is a good thing! Drinking well and notes consistent with my original ones.

A lovely wine. Eucalyptus on the nose and a bit short in the mouth. A bit different from the other TK we have had, but for the price point, it works. Don't know if this will change, but we will wait to open the next bottle.

This bottle was not as good to me as it was last year. Agree with "buys more red" that it had "raisin and prune" in it, which is not my fave in a wine. It did get a bit better after 3-4 hours. Love WS, but maybe this isn't the vineyard for me :(

Just a beautiful wine all around. Very pretty color, great nose and lush mouthfeel all around!

Hmm.. This is not hitting the mark of what a To Kalon should be to us. Beautiful color, nice nose, but mouthfeel is a bit "muddy" IDK if this will change with time, but we will wait a year or so to try it again.

I don't know what happened to this bottle. Decanted a few hours and it was absolute garbage. Acidic smell and awful taste; undrinkable. Unfortunately, this winery is very hit and miss, not consistent at all. A real bummer.

This one had a bit of a short in the mouth. Decanted for 3 hours, maybe it needed more or maybe it needs more time in the bottle? Will wait to try the next one.

Decanted for an hour before trying. It took another two for it to start opening up. I think it's still too young to get the full potential of this one. Will wait at least another year to and try again.

Big and bold like all HS wines. Needed a good 5 hour decant to really have it open up. Drinking nice now.

I liked it. Ken thought is was still a bit "short" on the tongue. It's one of those wines you buy with high hopes for the future. Somtimes you win and they age wonderfully, sometimes, not so good. I don't think if was waited it would get better. Oh well...

Still has that bit of "minty" cab nose I kinda like. Not a very evolved wine; good, not great for a To Kalon. Maybe it was the year??

The merlot is soft and silky. The cab franc adds a fun "zing" to this blend. A fun and imaginative wine.

It sounds like I am going against every other comment but here goes...
We thought this had no nose, very "allycholly" is breath for about 2 hours, but the flavors were very flat for us. For the cost, we were not impressed. Hope to no offend, but meh, not impressed.

A bit thin to me. Light in color as well as mouthfeel. A bit tart too. Idk what varietals are in this but I assume not too much syrah, but other blending grapes. Finish was a bit short for me too.

Well this was a completely different wine. The last one came from a different shipment, so maybe those are flawed or left in a hot truck before being delivered???
Nose was eucalyptus and heath bar candy. Dark berries, touch of mint. Ever so slightly more tannic that we like, but nicely softened. Excellent hang time in the mouth.
Totally different from the last bottle, phew!!

HUGE disappointment! I'm writing this review over a month since we drank the bottle, so I'm not going to try to come up with all of the flavor characteristics (which were terribly muted). I decanted this bottle for roughly 4 hours before taking it to an outstanding Italian restaurant. I didn't find the wine to be flavorful at all - no where's near as good as prior vintages of The Bard. This bottle, after a 4 hour decant, was a tannin bomb! Whatever flavors the wine possessed, was ruined by the excessive tannins. I have a couple more bottles of this wine, and will wait at least 5 more years before opening the next...

Medium body with excellent mouth feel and hang time. We enjoyed the bottle with scallops and pasta. Tart cherries with just slightly more tannins than what I would consider to be ideal. However, being a 2017,the tannin's are not bad at all and much better than what would be expected. My wife & I both enjoy Anderson Valley Pinot's, and the winemaker did an excellent job with this one!

A bit effervescent and short on the finish, plus a bit of a strange nose, nothing I wanted to sniff before taking a sip. Idk if waiting longer will do anything for this. A bit disappointing.

I found it a bit too bright and not as smooth as some other WS wines.
The nose was great, lots of cherries and fruit forward, but the mouthfeel was not terrific. Maybe we will wait a year to try the next bottle.
