Red
This is an outstanding quality wine. All of the structural elements (alcohol, tannin and acid) are well integrated and in perfect balance with the wine's fruit concentration (pronounced). There is an abundance of rich complex flavors ranging from red and black primary fruit, herbal flavors, and an array of secondary flavors (Dark chocolate, tobacco, cedar and cloves). The intensity of the flavors (pronounced) is evidenced by a long finish. At first sip you are met with a rich velvety texture that unfolds into layers of dark fruit, chocolate, cloves and tobacco. Those flavors weave together and continue through the long finish.

2018 Château Grand Mayne St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
This is a very good wine that begins in your mouth with an explosion of red and black plums. The fruit concentration (pronounced) is balanced by Medium (+) acidity and high tannins. The complexity of this wine comes from a variety of primary fruit clusters (floral, red and black fruit) and secondary aromas and flavors from oak aging ( vanilla, cloves, licorice and smoke). In addition, the finish is long with flowers of black plum, smoke and licorice that linger. The lack of tannin integration keeps this wine from being outstanding resulting in chalky tannins slightly overpowering the fruit flavors.

Totally love it! Even better the second night.

2018 Château Baret Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
This is a very good wine. The fruit concentration (Medium +) is balanced by the wine's acidity (Medium +). The wine offers complexity through a combination of bright primary flavors from citrus (lemon) and green fruit (gooseberry and yellow apple) along with herbaceous (grass), herbal (oregano and thyme) and wet stone, beeswax and lanolin. These flavors are easy to identify which is also an indication of a very good quality wine. The lemon and apple flavors are present at the first sip but it is the lanolin and beeswax flavors that linger on the finish (Medium +) which is what keeps this wine from being outstanding.
