Loads of Eucalyptus and perfect tannin. Tasted with other cali syrah including saxum. This was my fav.

Bought a case from this Whidbey Island producer on a recent trip there. Different from many cali petite sirahs I’ve had, Turley etc. in that there is nice acidity to balance out the red mountain rich fruits. This wine saw no new oak and the ps flavor shows through. Still very young- tried throughout the week and it kept improving.

Fantastic strawberry jam flavors, that long slow 24 hour boil kind of jam making that is rich and delicious and complex too.

Tasted at 2 hours in decanter and again the following evening. Tight, focused, acid, fruit and tannin all balanced.

White of the night. Plenty of citrus with some unctios nectarine- fuller body but far from a mouth of syrup, nice acid too. Cutting.

Just as I remember it from 2017. Nice wine at a magnificent price- bright acid, red fruits, lifted- agreed more medium body.

Decant 5 hr. Super briny, garrigue nose- not a huge hit in the group but I loves the soy and savoriness. Plenty of dark fruits, plum and acid to go with the funk.

Pnp, first 1 hr showed savory olive aromas aromas, with some stone and plenty of glazed strawberry. Great glycerol, smooth body. Later in evening and following day showed more cola and a touch library perfume. Really enjoyed my sips the first couple hours, then dropped to 87-89 following day. Drink up.

Tasted alongside several $40-60 piedemonte. reflects cooler higher alt climate thank the other nebbiolos, being more medium body, even medium light. Felt lighter texturally and mouthfeel than color and aroma suggested. Great acid of course. Continued to improve in complexity even after 5 hr decant. Probably could have used some food to beef up the mouthfeel and bring out ‘more’ of this wine.

3 hr decant. I loved the aromatics in the first hour. Great olive, briny, umami- teetering over edge of freshness. By day 2 had fallen apart showing more perfume, balsamic and flatter finish. Pop and drink in first hour.

Pnp. Bright and peppery during first hour, then faded into perfume, berry, maybe touch sweet.

5 hour decant. Smooth, fine grain tannin- green, savory herb, touch chocolate raspberry jam. Tried next to 07 cv cab - though it showed greater sense of place, though less complex.
