Excellent wine. Lush initial fruit on the palate. Followed by rich, smooth, mid-palate development . Allow for an hourlong decanting.

Spectacular. Rich, smooth, all tannins fully resolved . Decanted about 1-1/2 hours, very little bricking. If you have this find a dinner to have it with.

After 15 years still very good red fruits, cherry, huckleberry, and strawberry. Fruit forward, no bricking, altogether a lovely pinot noir.

20 years on and drinking beautifully. Rich dark fruits on the initial attack with lingering notes of tobacco and graphite framing the finish. Outstanding producer, excellent vineyard equals: Yum.

Outstanding in every way. Start with the cork which is a “technical” not natural cork; so absolutely no worries about ending up with a corked bottle after 15+ years of aging. The wine is fresh and vibrant all of the rough edges have been smoothed by time in the bottle. Dark rich berry fruit; marionberry, boysenberry, and blackberry predominate. the finish provides graphite and tobacco notes to balance out the upfront fruit. Sadly, only one bottle remains in our cellar…..

2007 vintage continues to impress. Bergstrom has done very well with this wine from Shea vineyards. Still fresh with notable red fruits. Likely drinking near its peak.

Nice Sicilian Bordeaux blend. Has aged nicely and while not a world-beater this wine is eminently drinkable and has a wonderful Q/PR.

Simply outstanding. Still fresh and vibrant but with the passage of time all rough edges are fully rounded off. Matched with roast duck this wine is excellent. And thanks to the “technical” cork no worries about bringing a corked wine to the restaurant.

Outstanding. Rich and generous from the first sip. Lovely structure, delightful mouthfeel. Crisp notes of apple and pear giving way to a lovely finish. Not tart, not sweet, just right. For me the last of 3 bottles but if you have it you are in for a treat.

OK CalCab, but nothing exceptional. Very heavy mineral overtones, wet slate and granite backed up by a fair bit of green pepper. Reasonable steak wine.

Not a profound white of great weight and pedigree, but an excellent seafood wine, consistently. Plenty of crisp apple and pear with enough proper acidity to stand against shrimp and asparagus risotto. And certainly priced right.

Very well rounded Washington Chardonnay. Fruit is primarily from Columbia Gorge (Underwood) AVA. Balanced, solid white fruits, peach, pear, and a hint of apple. Very full mouthfeel and a nice lingering finish. Grill up some halibut and enjoy. Should have several years still in front of it.

Somewhat odd wine. Initial taste had strong pine forest tones, not very pleasant. With time the wine opened up a bit and improved, but overall this makes me wonder what the Cayuse fuss is about.

Cool and wet the 2007 Oregon P/N vintage was widely decried by the wine press, particularly in light of the warm 2008 season. But those who have cellared their ‘07’s are now seeing the wheel turn. This 2007 Dewey Kelly Ribbon Ridge Vineyards pinot noir is reaching its peak. The initial sensation is lovely fresh red fruit (thanks screwtop) followed by a rich mid-palate expression of cedar tinged with forest floor and graphite. A long finish brings out the darker berry fruit, huckleberries and boysenberries. If you’ve got bottles left grill up some salmon and enjoy.

Brilliant wine, just brilliant. Thank Ken Wright for using technical corks, no chance of a corked bottle after twenty years. Sadly the last of my 6 bottles but it is drinking beautifully and if you are lucky enough to have bottles remaining don’t be in any hurry to drink them. I’ve never had a bottle of DRC, but I cannot imagine a P/N better than this.

Extremely odd wine, not corked, but a nose of Sherwin-Williams enamel paint, persistent after an hour decant. Not a pleasing wine in ant aspect. Bottle stored in temp control cellar since new (wine club). Not at all representative of Pruett wines.
