a little fruity...not a good quaffing rose but would be better with food

drank it against the 1999.....lovely....the 1999 showed a bit better

We usually lovee WS Vin gris, but this one has an odd finish. When we picked it up at Milbrook, they told us they did a last minute malactic fermentation on it, which is unusual for a rose. Hopefully it will get better in a month or so.

drank with a 2000 clone 4...both showed really well, and I think this time, while the clone 4 was my favorite in the beginning of the night, clone 6 turned out to be best in show (just by a hair). Both were great wines.

drank this with the 1998 hirsch pinot---after decanting both for 90 minutes, the 1998 was much smoother out of the box. The 1999 always had a harsh aftertaste. Drank over 2 evenings and the initial tasting note didn't change.
