Drank over 3 days. From 375ml, decanted for 2 hours.

Colour is intense red with a little brick towards the edge of glass. Smell dried raisin, preserved prune, chocolate, and tobacco. Taste sweet with great acidity, finish is complex and long.

It is a wine that takes me to another world. 1st growth equivalent.

Starts to show after 33 minutes in electronic decanter (~16.5 hours traditional decanting)
Initial note is red fruit, after comes black fruit, with smell of tobacco leaf/leather/licorice.
Long finish, still remember the next day.
55 % Merlot, 45 % Sangiovese.
Drinking well now. A fruity wine.

The wine was 54 years old and still live. Red with browning at the rim. Medium body. Consumed over 2 hours dinner. Best at the 1 hour mark as it gained weight and sweetness. Comments were spot on, "Fresh and acidic black currant fruit on the palate with an impressive array of complex spices", "Elegant and soft".

For the record, we got this from Ebay at USD341 with shipping included.

Quadruple decanted. Medium body. Easy drinking. Dominant taste is cocoa powder or chocolate. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Excellent price–performance ratio.

This one is on the young side. For now, I would let it breath for 6 hours to gain weight.

Agreed with the comment here, "With time then the cherries and black fruits start to come through. And intensity picks up."

Start to show after 1.5-2 hours and become more and more easy drinking as time goes on. Smoky smell, intense blackcurrant juice with little attack aftertaste.

We opened a bottle in a hotel room with relatives. Paired with strawberries, which was nice as both have some acidity. I think 2009 is more acidic when compared to 2008. However, it was an excellent drink with both fruity and baked bread flavours. Note that acidity diminished after breathing for some time.

This is a good wine but requires looooong time decanting, probably start to show after 4.5 hours. This wine has a very sweet rich taste and is very balance with silkiness mouthfeel. Traditional Shiraz with excellent price performance ratio at AUD40.

Tasted on 12/31/2019 (coravin) and finished the rest on 1/18/2020. Smell nice but initially taste sour (as with all quality wines), probably need 4 hour decant to show. The wine (after decanting) has a dominant green plant smell, with a sweet, very rich taste and silkiness mouthfeel. Classic.
