A little on the sweet side, with granny smith apple on the nose and pear on the palate, with a nice mouth feel.

The wine has mellowed and all of the mentioned sharp notes and wood taste has disappeared. It turned into a nice wine.

Still drinking beautifully, hints of red fruit on the nose, with tastes of raspberry and dried figs on the palate. Sadly my last 08.

Rich, full body Barbera that went well with lasagna and spicy sausage red sauce.

Nice bottle of wine, but nothing special for the price or reputation of the wine maker. It is possible that 2008 vintage has outlived its life as there was no fruit just a nice wine.

Still has a lot of flavor, the pepprinesss is coming out, not much if any fruit. Paired it with a smoked tri tip and it went perfectly.

Big taste of jolly ranchers green apple. A little too sweet for my taste. It did go nicely with Indian food, but would have liked it to have been dryer.

Not the best Charbono that we have had, as it did not bring out enough of the fruit. It may be past its prime.

Nicely balanced Chardonnay, nice hint of oak but not overwhelming, as the wine warmed more oak became noticeable.

Perfect wine for pasta with a red sauce. Not as tannic as a sangiovese but great flavor

Not a lot of flavor in this bottle, with the exception of a high level of alcohol. This was the second 06 of this wine that we opened, both had the high alcohol level.

A nice drinkable bottle, not up to other Sonoma Pinot Noirs. It was very enjoyable but for the price point there are better wines.

Very enjoyable bottle of wine with nice citrus notes and a very pleasant finish. This bottle was a perfect pairing for fajitas.

Grapefruit flavors were strong and the wine was not crisp a little on the flat side.

Big juicy Russian River Pinot, hints of black cherry, cassis and molasses. Big chewy, jammy mouth feel. One of the best KB 07s that I have opened.

Very disappointing for the 07 vintage and from a SVD from Rochioli. We decanted it for 45 minutes, it had a very weak nose that was followed by bland flavors, that had a hint of green pepper. This wine also had a very light mouth feel with none of the silkiness that we expect from a Rochioli.

I agree with Keithakers that this is an over ripe and over blown tones of black fruits, candy, black cherries and liqueur tones.
taste: Full bodied with no real tannins that are noticeable. The tones of black fruits, candy, liqueur tones, and asphalt are overdone and chunky.

The only think is I paired it with a very flavorful bbq, that needed a BIG wine and this matched the flavors in the bbq and complimented it very well. This is not a wine to drink on its own, but needs a very smokey bbq to go with it.

A nice mid range Barbera not as fruit forward as some Barberas but held up to a heavy pasta sauce.

This was one of those nicely balanced chardonnays, it had a light buttery taste but not over powering. Drank it with some fried chicken and it paired perfectly.

I think that is is one of Byington's best wines. It is a big flavor smooth cab that compliments steaks and pork dishes.

Nice zin that has smoothed out over time. It still has some black berry fruit and some white pepper to it, but the tannins are smooth, which makes this a nice wine.

Had this wine with a spicy chilli mac and it matched perfectly. As it was served cold it cooled the spice in the chilli but the flavors also complemented all of the different tastes in the meal. This will be my go to wine for chilli.

A nice wine but not what I expected from a Russian River Pinot, it was was a mellow bottle of wine. It was on the tart side with hint of licorice on the palate and a weak cup of coffee on the nose.

This remains a smooth jammy zin, full of various black fruit flavors. I beleive that it will remain good to drink for the next 2-3 years.

A great pinot, great nose, still very flavorful for a 2004, it should hold for a couple more years

This wine has a great nose, of light cherries and rasberris, however the taste of the wine does not match the nose. The wine is a medium Pinot that is smooth and easy to drink, just not a wow. I really wished the flavors matched the nose.

Nice smooth cab that held up well to a heavy steak. There were still some nice tannins that will continue to smooth out over the next year. I think the wine will hold up until 2014

Interesting wine that went well with a thanksgiving turkey dinner. This was an oaky wine that had citrus flavors through out. Went better with dinner than on it's own.

A nice bottle of wine, drank it with friends and some cheese and no one was impressed. A weak nose that leads to a nice drinkable wine after having so many different producers use the Kanzler vineyard I was looking for a little more.

Nice big California pinot had a good nose, good flavors, but nothing that pushed this wine over the top. A very good structure and it is the stucture that holds this wine together to make it a nice wine. I was hoping for a little more from DuMol.

Still rather tanic for a syrah, it did not do a good job holding up to bbq ribs. I thought it lacked flavor for a syrah, I think it will only lose flavor as you wait for the tanins to calm down.
