We drank this at Ben and Emma‘s engagement. The bottle had a slight off taste right after corking on the finish. But once it opened up the wine was silky smooth with quite a bit of spiciness really just an elegant wine. Loved it wish I had another bottle. Drinking in it’s window for sure.

I thought this wine was great right out of the bottle. the perfume was aromatic as I expected. I was a bit disappointed in the depth of the wine as the longer it was open, the less body was there. I think this is another that is not destined for additional aging. It is drinking really well right now.

This wine is in its zone. Drinking great right out of the bottle. May have a little life left, but I am not sure why you would wait. Certainly no more upside. Enjoy

Beautiful wine out of the bottle. Cork was half saturated. Slightly tannic. Wonderful nose once the cork was pulled. Full bodied wine. Slightly chalky on the finish. This is not at peak however this is drinking very nice right now. I think the drinking window is at least 5 plus years. Enjoy.

Loved this wine. Aromatic once the cork was pulled. Just beautiful. Fairly priced for the quality. The wine continues to evolve. I decanted for approximately 60 minutes. Tannins subsided as the wine's silkiness started to present itself. Happy I got on the River's Marie bandwagon when it first came out.

Last bottle. Decanted about 40 minutes. Nose is present, but very subtle. Slight tannins. Very approachable. Silky and a bit of spice on front end, with a slightly chalky finish. Lovely wine

I continue to be amazed at the staying power of this wine. It is clearly near the end of its life. However, no mustiness, no ill flavors or aromas at all. The cork was completed saturated and degraded. I utilized a Durand to remove the cork. Some sediment, recommend filtering twice. U decanted for 30 minutes and then continued to quaff this beauty over the next 90 min. Again I offer 5 points for age. Very little residual fruit here. Time to drink it up.

Very nice wine. Properly stored and in its drinking window. A 30 minute decant and this wine opened up beautifully.

Opened this bottle to watch the Iowa vs Minnesota game. Fortunately the wine was better than the game’s results. With regards to the wine, it is nearing its peak. If not, add it. Think it’s time to drink up if you have it in your cellars. It could be just this bottle. I have 3 more to find out. Stay tuned.

The nose after decant has not dissipated. The flavors have improved, however, it is still not optimal

Nice little drinker picked up from Costco. It is a bit tight in the bottle. A little age I believe might open this up and allow the wine to evolve. I did not decant, but drank it over a couple of days.

I opened this bottle to celebrate birthdays, retirements, etc. I had originally rated this as a 92 in one of my previous bottles. With this bottle, I decanted slow ox for four hours, and then did a one hour decant before trying it. The bottle was amazing. Had full earth beautiful bouquet, 0 must. I gave this wine a couple points for age. Still has some life, again I loved it

Very approachable wine. Some depth, with a decent finish. I think this is better than a Tuesday drinker, I would call it a Thursday drinker. With regard to price to value, I think there are better choices out there. Overall a nice wine.

21 year old wine. What a great value This is my 3rd bottle 90 minute decant. This has some life, but is drinking well right now. I would recommend drinking this up in next 3-4 years as I do not suspect it will get any better. Certainly expressing itself.

I think this wine is going through a secondary fermentation. I have now seen significant bubbling when pouring, and drinking of this wine. 2 bottles in of 6. Flavors are good. But not what I would expect from a 35th anniversary wine.

I think this wine needed just a bit of time in the bottle. I believe it continued to soften and become a refreshingly smooth bottle of Sauv. Blanc.

Sadly I believe this bottle is too far gone. I have done an extended double decant and will see whether that has an impact. I used a Durand to pull out the saturated cork.

Edit:

I gave 3 points for age. I did a double decant. Put back in bottle. Most, like 98% of the mustiness wisped off. It has a beautiful plum color. Subtle nose. With sweet essence. Mustiness has dissipated. Sexy legs. The amber fire off this wine is amazing. If you have this in your cellar, do not haste it is time to drink up.

Very nice wine. Opened it up for Ruth's Retirement. No sign of degradation or decline. Lovely aromas and finish. I have 4 bottles of this vintage. I do not see it improving with age. I will have one of these over each of the next 5 years to prove it out. :)

I opened this for my brother. I scored this wine as a 98. I gave 5 points for the 50 year’s of age. The cork was completely saturated. Ahso needed. Decanted for 60 minutes Continued to open and evolve over next 3 hrs. If you like aged rioja wine. This won’t disappoint. I have one more. Will consume in next 12-18 months Enjoy.

Bottle has some youthful age. Decanted about 45 minutes. It continued to open up. A nice drinker. While I liked it, I would not probably purchase again.

Initial notes of tobacco, dried fig and berries. Chalky finish which is not surprising with the cab Franc dominance. Lovely wine. As it opens, the flavors continue to evolve. 2 more left. I think this is definitely in its drinking window.

We bought is at Napa Premier. The nose on this wine is amazing right out of the gate. A full 2 tablespoons of sediment. Decanted this baby as it should for 1 hr. Wisps of Cherry, Currant, and red raspberry.
The wine is appears to be the rich color of Garnet. No legs to speak of as the wine slip slides down the glass. It tastes of violet, plum, hints of dark chocolate and red currant. The body is medium/full with a polished texture. The wine finishes long allowing you to savor 11 years of aging. Great wine. Near its sweet spot and I have 5 more. Yum.
