Wow. In a perfect place. I don't know how this could get much better. I can't pick up the tasting notes like others can but I know a great bottle of wine when I drink it and this is a great bottle of wine.

I bought 3 of these direct and opened the first one fearing I'd missed the window. Not at all. I've had other Double Diamonds that didn't hold up but this bottle still had a lot of life. Classic Cab and excellent value. Time to extend the drinking window.

Medium body with good fruit, black cherry in particular. Still going strong but drinking really well right now

I have Eisele Cab from 1994 to 2012 and this is the best bottle I've ever had from this vineyard. While we decanted it for an hour we also tasted it PnP. Very smooth tannins and fantastic balance right away and it only got better as the night went on. One of the best CA Cabs I've ever had.

My last bottle and it's way past its peak. The color is maroon and the fruit is gone.

I've had this bottle since its infancy. Drank it tonight at Lucky's in Montecito. CA Cab at its finest. Firm but softening tannins, great fruit, balance and depth. Beautiful tonight but still many years left before it begins to wane.

I had this Saturday night at Osteria Mozza in LA. Very distinctly Brunello. I would have thought it needed more age but it was great. I don't have enough of a palate to say that it reminded me of saddle leather made from a cow from West Texas but it was delicious.

We drank this with a 96 Les Pavot and while both were outstanding, this was better Great balance and depth of flavor. Fantastic California Cabernet. One of the top 10 CA Cabs I have had.

Decanted for an hour. Still in its prime. Great nose.

Drank it last night. I've had it since it was released. I was worried it would be over the hill. It still had some life but past its prime.

Drank this last night at MB Post. Great, Caymus nose on the opening but fruit off slightly at first. The tannins were reserved and the bottle opened up after about 30 minutes in the decanter. Still going strong even for an off year. I have a few bottles left and while I think this is at it's peak I don't feel rested to drink them.

The last of my '05s. We had this with appetizers at Ca Dario in Santa Barbara. Still a great bottle of wine. Great fruit, great balance and nice depth. I feel bad for those that had bad bottles, they missed a great Pinot.

I've had this bottle since release and I thought I missed it's window. I didn't. Full of fruit. Nice balance. Cedar and oak on the nose. I have one more left and I'm going to open it soon.

I was disappointed as well. Not a particularly interesting bottle. Didn't have a lot of Cabernet depth to it.

Bought a case of this over 10 years ago, stuck it in my locker and opened my first bottle yesterday. Good fruit with pretty good balance. It didn't make my eyes roll back in my head but it is definitely a nice bottle that is drinking well now.
