I was very pleasantly surprised at how this is holding up. Very balanced, with nice cherry notes. Fully resolved but didn't seem like it was near short-term collapse

I gotta say, this is holding up beautifully. It comes across as a nicely aged Spatlese, even at age 14. Very impressed at how well it's aged!

Holding up amazingly well. Slight petrol on the nose, with a very mild sweetness and good acidity. Frankly shocked that after 13 years still going strong

Drinking very well now. Fully resolved but not in danger of going downhill. Distinctly Pinot but also distinctly Italian at the same time. Very nice red fruit both on the nose & palate. Well-balanced acidity. Overall was more impressed than my last couple of bottles

A very good experience overall. The color and the nose were near perfect. Deep rich color. Nose that screamed "Amarone". On the palate good and fresh for a 50 year old wine. Most of the sweetness has resolved over time. Slightly lacking in the mid-palate, which is what kept it from a higher score

Remarkably still alive. Strong notes of Grapefruit and other citrus. Good length & finish

Fantastic! Huge wine, but still drinking well following a couple hours in the decanter. A little sweetness to go with layers of meat & fruit. Will last forever.

Very classic Cote Rotie, drinking well now. Some Pepper and spice, with good fruit and decent length. I don't think it will get better.

Hints of strawberry combined with Cornelissen's "funkyness". Better bottle than my recent reds from this producer.

Very young. Lot of spritziness. Good fruit with some sweetness, tending towards pineapple. Can drink now - I my Spatlese both young and old - but will last a long time.

Good older CdP. Will never be great, but drinking well enough right now. Reminded me of an '88 I'd had recently, which is a compliment.

Interesting more than good. Some spritziness. Light color. Fleshed out a bit in decanter, and much much better with food. Now had 4 bottles of this wine, and I'm running 50%. Some were good, last 2 were so-so.

Drinking very well. Still some tannins, but I don't think I would count on this one for the long haul. Good fruit to balance the tannins, but probably not deep enough to last forever. Very traditional - moreso than most other Giacosa's I've had. Cherry and tar, with a great nose you'd expect from a good Piedmont.
White - Off-dry
