I have no knowlegde of provenance, as I received it it as a gift.

light red brick in the glass, hints of leather, mint, some caramel. pleasant and interesting on the nose.

Drinking on the other hand was very balsamic and not very approachble. It did evolve some over the next three days, but it did'nt amount to anything great.
Dead on arrival.

Not decanted. Nothing on the nose the first 3 hours it was opened.
but still very restrained when finished after 5 hours.

Spicy taste and some fruit, but the least approach able of the tempiers I have tried.

without balance, bitter fruits and berries and the alcohol shows through in an not so pleasant way.

I used to like this wine - before I actually learned what wine is. A crippled walk down memory lane.

Nice syrah, but somewhat one directional.

Wait and then wait some more. Plenty of air ( 1 hour decant and several hours slow ox ) - the nose was beautiful but needed time to show and kept evolving even on day two. Not much to work with when tasting, very closed and needed food to show a minimum of its potential - will have to wait several years to open the next bottle and by then it will be excellent - hopefully.

Drinking very well. lot. 9.090.
Delicious nose and taste from the start, but with 2 hours of air, it seemed to be showing its best. Well balanced, with nice grip - classic barbaresco. 90-91 p.

Lovely wine, just a splendid balance, delicate nose and a great taste, good length. Brilliantly done. Very approchable now ( 1 hour decant), but age should develop it further.
White - Off-dry

beautiful auslese - almost beerenauslese, dominated by orange and tangerine at this point. Very nicely done, well balanced and a tantalizing finish.

Just wonderful. Pure joy when smelling this Wine in the glass, Classic nebbiolo with heaps of power. The taste was good, but a bit short lived. Would love to try this again in 5 years time.
Happy to have had this for my wedding lunch - whats not to like? my favorit Girl by my side and the number one grape in the glass.

Nice, well balanced and pleasant to drink barbaresco. The bottle seemed older than other 97's I've had recently.

absolutely beautiful. Golden yellow, a hint of petrol on the nose and a bit of sweetness and citrusfruit on the palate. Very well balanced and intense.

This was an wonderful experience. Amazing sweetness with a very long aftertaste. The acidity gave perfect balance to this little bottle of pleasure.
