March 7, 2014 - Minerality, tight, tart cherries. Even with the great professional rating I quess I continue to not be enamored with gamay

November 23, 2013 - E&R's 4th Annual Beaujolais Weekend; 11/22/2013-11/23/2013 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Aromas of earth, some cherries, and really nice depth. Delicious smelling. Again, fantastic juicy palate with pleasing, impressive balance of fruit and structure. Fantastic lingering notes of spice and acid. Really gritty, but this does come together as a complete package.

May 3, 2012 - I really didn't enjoy my first bottle of this (07 vintage), and I was glad to see a better example of this producer's potential. Subtle, spicy and inviting nose. The prickly acidity is one of the defining characteristics, and it has a slightly tart sour cherry flavor. Very light and juicy but not at all thin. And - above all - very gulpable. One of those wines where you look up and 3/4 of the bottle is gone.

That said, TERRIBLE QPR at $40 a bottle. Worth trying once (just to cover all of the gang of four/five), but not a re-buy.

November 17, 2011 - Annual Beaujolais Bash-First Chance to Assess 2010 (Mostly Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Light weight. Crunchy red fruit and licorice. Delicate and typical.
