Decanted for 2 hours, part of a flight of 2010 Chablis. Tasted blind. My third favorite wine of the flight. Honeyed nose, complemented by lemony herbs and iodine. Mid weight palate, medium acid not a ton of intensity or complexity. Seemed low energy but actually finishes with a whack of acid. Time to drink up.

Medium dull yellow. All iodine, muskiness, and herb on the nose. Medium weight, excellent texture. Broth, salinity, and rising lemony acidity in the mouth. Tart, bracing, and long. Forget its modest village designation-this is outstanding Chablis, full stop.

Asparagus gang over at Maison Dakota. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Showed better with more air. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of yellow flowers, lemon curd, stony minerality, hints of oak + cream. Developing. On the palate, dry, sufficiently high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of rounded honey peach, citrus lemon becoming sweet lemon curd with more air, bit of salty stones minerality becoming more obvious savoury iodine + sweet honeyed yellow apple on day 2. Salty rounded medium+ finish. Good quality. Nice drinking wine, maybe needs a few more years of age. Not a classical or obvious Chablis, until the iodine notes appeared.

At first it was incredibly tight but with air, it blew off, revealing white flowers, ripe (but not overripe) fruit and good acid and mouthfeel. Blind, I would not be able to tell that it was a Chablis - the acid was good but not exuberant and there was just a slight hint of salinity - maybe the oak regimen masked everything. A very good white burg, for sure, but not your typical chablis. 91/92

Bright tulip color. Lemon and iodine. Fantastic texture for AC Chablis, and unlike its early days, there is no longer any intrusive wood. Marvelous flavors of ripe lemon, a touch of green apple, and herbs leading to a long, saliva-inducing, soil-drenched finish. This has followed a steep upward arc over the 8 years that I've followed it, and it may not be at its apex yet; you can toss out the "drink by" date of 2019 suggested in this database. Even given its relatively lowly standing in the hierarchy, it is the most reassuringly Chablisien Chablis that I have opened recently. My glands are still working overtime several minutes after the last sip. I can only imagine what the Premier and Grand Crus might be like at this point.

Plucked off the list for lunch at the Post Ranch Inn at a pretty fair price, actually a steal for the quality of the wine. Sitting high on the cliffs, overlooking the Pacific.
Fabulous fresh sea nose, clean tide pool, is it really the wine, or the ocean below? Lovely medium intensity, strong mineral/sea notes, saline umami, nice complexity, great steely/mineral acidity, still quite youthful and probably getting even better with age, punches way over Appellation Chablis. Perhaps enhanced by the fantastic lunch and amazing environment, but just fantastic.
Gorgeous Chablis showing just the right amount of maturity - medium gold color, totally fresh nose tho. Very concentrated and unctuous with candied citrus / pear / meringue. Nice.

Superb bottle of chablis. Looks a little anonymous at first, think it suffered from being served a little too cold. But when it warmed up... oh boy. Beautiful white peach and white flower characters. A bit of gunflint/leesy character too. Just mouthwatering. Lovely sense of salinity on the palate. Vividly mineral. God I love Chablis.

It has been a while since the previous bottle but the wait was worth it. Drinking absolutely beautifully at the moment. Quite complex with a bit of a saline, maritime, character as well as green apples and lemons. Long, steely aftertaste and high acidity.

Seaweed, marly chalky soil, and a slight bruised apple note highlight this excellent village level wine. Fruit takes second place, but makes up for it with minerality and salty-seaweedy character, or as someone I know calls it, "stinky sock, wet moss", which may not sound nice, but really is flattering in my book. Entry is quite rounded, lower acidity than the Forest, less focussed, but the finish perks up and is persistent and medium long. Great with oysters, although the Forest does a slightly better job because of its precision in the acid department. At "Lost at Sea" in Pasadena. Maybe 91

Same bottle as KARL_EK. Had this as my favorite wine of the night. Lovely white Burgundy nose. Ripe citrus fruit, yellow apples, butter and woody spices with a touch of vanilla. Broad palate with a good medium+ acidity, medium+ intensity and a long finish. Really tasty and in a good moment right now but will surely show really good a few more years.

Wide open right from the start. Medium(+) intensity of aromas. Starting to show some development. Yellow apple, tropical fruit, grilled lemon, honey, butter cookies and slight baking spice.
Fresh and vibrant on the palate with medium(+) intensity. Medium bodied with medium(+) acidity. Tasted along with the 2011 1:er Cru Sechet also from Dauvissat and today this was a lot more enjoyable than the bigger wine.
This is entering a really good phase so within 3-5 years.

Brought to a wine dinner. Served along side some oysters. Lemon, saline a little flint with crisp acids. Nice but not wowed at what was a $40 price point back in the day. Would I rather have this or two Billaud-Simon for basically the same price? Billaud-Simon hands down.

A mighty nice, deliciously deep nose of ripe yet calm and collected citrus and lime fruit, salty sea breeze and some obvious yet stylish and inviting notes of roasted nuts, spices and dry wood. In addition, there is certain cheesiness to the nose, which I find extremely positive in the same vein as the vomit aroma in some BdB fizz. In general I'm not fan of using oak with Chablis but here it has been quite well. Fairly viscous on the palate, but also structured and poised. Not exactly steely, but refreshing, crisp and bright nonetheless. Not lacking any fruit, but as is ideal the citrusy fruit here is on the neutral side with the oaking feeling only on the edges, once again showcasing fantastic handling of oak. Very savoury and minerally in character. Despite the hints of oak this is comes off as "most definitely Chablis" but what separates it from most AC Chablis is the beautiful texture that just caresses one's palate until the sourness appears on the finish. A good Chablis with huge drinkability, very happy with the 25 € price that I paid.

No notes taken and not carafed which I will try next time. Annoying wax capsule! Nose discreet but the palate was hugely mineral without intense, puckering acidity which I was half expecting. This has a light citrus touch but otherwise it is all shells and iodine, like drinking the essence of crushed seashells which have been compacted during millions of years and distilled into this delightful beverage. After all is that not what true Chablis terroir is all about? I did not notice the oak that others have mentioned. The producer lives up to the wine community hype...

Light yellow. What I like about this is the bright citrus on the nose, the density and the tart, long, lemony flavors. My reservations have to do with the all too prominent wood, which imparts a vanillin tone throughout and gives the wine unwelcome toastiness and astringency on the finish. There is no question about it being Chablis, but there are aspects of it that remind me of Meursault. Fine material but can it handle all of the oak? This is most definitely not what I seek in Dauvissat wines.
Second night out of refrigerator-seemed even more woody. A real let down from what should be a fabulous vintage for Dauvissat.
