A good showing. It’s a good sum of its parts, with the weakest part being the actual mouthy taste, which seems to be a bit on the light side of subtle.
Still, it’s a good sum of its parts.. a very good sum of its parts.

4th bottle from 6 purchased. Last consumed about 2 yrs ago. Lovely 1er Cru Chablis, now 12 yrs old, so bright and citrusy, with a bit of honey and salt, and a lingering finish. Drink now through 2025+.

Last of my '10 Fevre's and this did not disappoint. Not as stunning as a Les Clos earlier this year this still offers that great classic Chablis sea spray, oyster shell, crushed rocks and sometimes even leaning to matchstick backbone. There's lemon and quince from a fruit component with nice tension still to this day. Enjoyed!

Vicki's Celebration Dinner (James & Carrie's, Mpls): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 2 hours plus. The nose shows gunflint and silex, lanolin, lemon and saline with dried herb. The palate is pretty driven, very tart and crisp, Meyer lemon, stone, peach, dried herbs and touch of lemon oil with a medium plus finish. Showing very well indeed.

3rd of 6 bottles, last consumed 1.5 yrs ago. Delicious 1er Cru Chablis, showing off pretty lemon and green apple fruit, alongside a tense citrus bite, and a drizzle of honey on the long and incisive finish. Drink now through 2024+. Delicious.

Clear just barely showing some signs of age with a slight Golden hue. Classic Chablis, citrus, flint, minerality and bright acidity. Still has years to go but this is showing well now. Just served slightly chilled and was great as it had some time in the glass and warmed up. Would drink now but definitely has life left.

A very good showing, especially as it warms to room temperature. Nose gets more pronounced, length gets longer, mouth gets bigger. Also gets fruitier and maybe a bit less Chablis typical.

Perfumed aromas with citrus and chalk. Fruity and savoury on the palate, with a slight bitterness in the finish. Good, but did not impress as much as a magnum tasted recently.

Consumed over 2 days with friends. A brilliant showing, with perfectly layered lemon, chalk, and slight drop of honey on top of the tense minerality and racy acidity. Just what I love in a 1er Cru Chablis, this is delicious, and maybe better on the 2nd day. Drink this beauty now through 2025+.

Some Burgundies at the LWS (LWS): Open for 18 hours. It's been a while since I have had this in any vintage. One of the better 1er Crus. Light golden in color. The nose is great with lemons, slightly chalky and steely. On the palate, chalky with tart green apples. Nice depth and complexity. Good finish. Very clean and mineral drive. Everything I want in Chablis.

Late Afternoon Wines (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light greenish gold color. Drank 2 glasses over an hour plus. Just another in a long line of 2010 success stories. Gorgeous wine that delivers everything you want in Chablis, bright fruits of lemon, lin=me, and green apple, plenty of ocean air, saline and sea shells on the palate, good acid and a little citrus zest . Excellent typicity and very enjoyable, 92+pts.

Good clarity here, but really mellow, like the Fevre assertiveness and brightness has receded. This is light on the palate, which is rather clear, with touches of lemon and lime, and a long, dry finish.

Incredible bottle! Perfect chablis. Intense nose of salainity, chalky limestone essence with hints of meyer lemony citrus, just the right kiss of oak, and bracing fresh acidity and complex terroir. Oyster heaven, then took on soft shell crabs piccata style, no problem. This is what chablis is all about.

Surprisingly, almost tropical and ripe, no oak, clear palate, but the almost-tropical palate was unexpected and this showed more '09 or '11 than 2010 Chablis. L'Apicio with Jeff, Josh and Chase.

Big, bright Fevre with lots of white and clear fruit, pronounced grapefruit citrus notes, very clean, big and bright but still classic. The grapefruit transitioned to green apple fruit on the second night, and the wine had even better focus. Good grip, in a really nice spot now but will hold.

Much better showing than a bottle only two months ago. This one is much more cohesive. The palate shows good clarity and transparency, no oak, with clear and white fruit and light floral notes. There is good body here to the midpalate, a nice midpalate fullness, and much better definition than that earlier bottle. This wine is rather "bright", like a painting where the colors are just too colorful, although I would not go so far as calling this wine manipulated or spoofed.

Didn't love it. Rather unexciting and lacking in energy and cut. Citrus flavors on the palate that venture towards the tangerine side of the citrus spectrum. With air, some acidity emerges that gives better definition, along with some minerals and oyster shells, but I can think of many other Chablis that are more impressive. Hopefully will improve with some time. In the context of both the 2010 vintage and Fevre, this is nothing special.
Really enjoyed these last night, nice nose of oyster shell, citrus stone fruit and some green apple, on the palate there's nice lemon and some white flowers lovely crisp acidity leading to a solid briny finish

This is the third 2010 William Fevre 1er Cru Chablis that we have tried in the last week. The others were the Vaillons and the Fourchaume. They were both excellent as is the Montmains this evening. It shares lemon, brine and mineral notes with the others but adds an intriguing floral component and it's more delicate. Very approachable now and it improves markedly with time in glass and as it warms toward room temperature.

First of all, this should really be enjoyed at way above fridge temp. That being said, it has quite the restrained, appealing nose of apple, citrus, yeast and notable nuttiness. On the palate it is medium bodied, quite round and has a pretty good lift. Once again, oak-aging is apparent here: classic fruity and stony Chablis aromatics, while definitely there, are dominated by the nutty, woody and spicy flavors. Thankfully the finish is quite fresh and balanced. While this is fairly appealing in a direct, mouthfilling way, I much prefer my Chablis with more clarity, precision and tension.

This is one of the best 1er Cru Chablis I've had in terms of pure enjoyment. Expressive nose of ripe citrus and minerals. A wonderful balance of fruit and acid on the palate. Very tasty with yellow apple, pink grapefruit, lemon, and limestone on the palate. Drinking great right now, but will obviously do well with a few years of bottle age. Loving 2010 Chablis so far.
