Brunello 2004 Horisontal (My House): A very well-aged wine with plenty of drinking pleasure. Lovely flavors of citrus and a hint of pineapple mixed with a fine minerality.

An absolute pleasure to drink. Light straw color still looking youthful. The nose has lots of minerality and some citrus. Lush mouthfeel and lively acidity on the palate. Medium finish. Drinking great now and should hold for at least a few more years.

#3 of 4. Still spectacular, but this bottle showing its age. Great cut and classic Chablis notes. Beautiful wine. Good now and for another 3-5 years, based on this bottle.

Fairly strong cheesey, waxy and woody aromas blow off after half an hour to reveal a pure, austere, very detailed and nuanced lemon rind, bitter white peach kernal palate. Great salinity, minerality, and just the right amount of pure, secondary, balancing and crystalline fruit. Spectacular, in an understated way. Just barely beginning its run, this has another decade at least and actually seems to be evolving at a glacial pace, given my last note two years ago. I didn't like this after my last bottle or the first hour or so of this one, and even thought of passing on my remaining stash, but now these feel like gems to hoard. Impressive - an Alzinger Riesling Steinertal of a Chablis. 93pts pure quality, 94pts personal preference

No-ox. P&P. Light full yellow color with tints of gold. Seashell nose, becoming riper (ripe stone fruits) with hints of butterscotch over time. Sour lemons, distinct notes of key limes, chalky brine, a subtle but expanding mid-palate, and a long finish complete the package. Just hitting its peak. Delicious.

Several days later from memory. Absolutely glorious expressions of grand cru. Rich, stony, with ample fruit and outstanding balance leading to full but appealingly dry finish. Will easily improve over 3-5 years.

Wineflock - Grand Cru Chablis (Dennis'): Gropu #9, My #8 - Pale white yellow color. Big rich fruit and mineral and acidity on the nose. Big bright round slightly sour white fruit with a hint of iodine. Long structured finish - could continue to improve with time?

Wineflock - GC & 1er Chablis Tasting (My House): Flight #5, My #5. Pale yellow color. Medium tight briar spicy chalk nose. Full slightly sour acidic white fruit on the palate. Nice enough, but not really in the same class as the others.

Flock Chablis Tasting (Chris' Place): Light straw with aromas of chalk, minerals and slate. Very clean, pure and focused. Full fruit, green apple with bracing acidity. Medium long finish that shows a hint of oak. (4+12+16+7=89). Group #5, My #3.

Great! Maximum peak, all the great lemon curd notes of a nice Les Clos, maximum length. Great stuff. Out of mag helped for sure!

A bit compressed, could use some time. May sneak up a point or two.

Blind Chablis Tasting (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Tasted blind. Good white fruit aromas and flavors but very simple. Slightly disappointing tonight for its level and vintage.
