Vinøs hyttetur; 9/30/2022-10/1/2022: Blind. Mørk frukt, noe støvete mot papp - men mener dette ikke er TCA, tanninrik. Fin balanse og en god vin, men dagens priser er jo helt hinsides.

Very dark in colour. Very oaky and the fruits are hidden. It needs 5-10 years for the oak and fruits to be integrated. It was better after 4 hours in decanter but still it needs much more time.

Powerful from PnP with an expressive nose of ripe blackcurrant, wet soil, forest moss, vanilla from the use of plenty new oak. On the palate ripe cherry and blackcurrant, hint of tobacco and vanilla. Some stony minerality. The new oak made appearance toward the finish, not yet integrated. A super long finish (could actual still taste it several hours later when gone to bed, even that I had brushed my teeth before). On the second day more integrated and the fruit spanning from cherry and blackcurrant to rhubarb and some notes of strawberries toward the finish. Nice complexity. The edge of new oak more in the shadow now. Surely a wine with character and a wine that will develop for another decade of cellaring. At this point 93-94+ P This bottle was my first opened from a mixed lot of 2010´s that I brought home from a visit at the Domaine in November 2012. I clearly remember the tasting in the cellar with an at that time very young Charles Lachaux. He just renewed the cellar; it was all clean, lean and modern with lights in the floor etc. Some contrast to a typical burgundy cellar. The young Charles appeared to me as very ambitious and self-confident. The wine described here is like a mirror of my memory of that November afternoon in 2012 in the cellar: Very well defined, ambitious, confident, powerful, lean structure.

Nez magique de fruits rouges et noirs, de rose et d'épices. Bouche ultra soyeuse, racée et profonde. Tout ce qu'on peut attendre d'un vosne 1er cru y est. Prêt à boire mais se gardera 10-15 ans encore.

A very smooth and seductive wine. Lots of perfume, violets and floral notes. Definitely more fruit than oak, and I was amazed this was a 2010 when unveiled given this was drinking so well. Lovely wine that is drinking fine now, but will keep another decade plus. From KB

Last had this beauty in 2016, was looking forward to see its evolution, beautiful seductive nose, violets, like gliding through a garden with its flowers in full bloom, in the mouth rich & mouth coating, fine tannins, a lovely Pinot that is drinking very well

Gorgeous! The wine blossomed within 90 mins, lovely to taste it as it opened up. The wine has great grip and structure, beautiful fullness and notes of cherry, berries and dried rose petals. Tertiary flavors present. Definitely agree will buy more if I can find. Very approachable now and drinking beautifully

Decanted and allowed to air for 5 hours before drinking. I enjoyed this burgundy, especially when paired with food. It was nicely integrated but I found the finish quite short.

Dark red, spicy, black fruits, ripe and medium bodied, 2 hour decant, quite open and very well balanced, young but so easy to drink, at the end smelt like an old Bordeaux, going get more of this and age it until 2020 92-94

2010 Arnoux-Lachaux Vosne-Romanée ‘Les Chaumes’ 1er Cru showed a bit of reduction on first pour. On second pour it had kicked into gear and was a splendid wine of silky opulence. There were notes of purple flowers, cherry and blood plum. It had flesh and structure and one was left with a wonderful mouth aroma once swallowing.

Shows better than previous bottle. More open and approachable, tannins have soften considerably but still shows dry mid-palate. More dark fruits, good amount of spices, hints of toasty oaks. Good acidity with slight heat at finish. Young but enjoyable if you like to drink young Burgs. 91-94 pts.

Decent nose. Floral and intense but with whiff of alcohol. Notes of spices, violet, minerals, dark fruits, wet earth and oak. Sweet and smooth on entry with dry mid-palate, tannins still noticeable. Good structure and length with plenty of alcohol too at 13.5% but not much heat at finish. Big Premier Cru with long life ahead. Power rather than finesse. Still plenty of tannins on 2nd day, good nose, additional note of licorice. This required 10 years in the bottle. 91-94 pts.

Dense, deep, dark and brooding. Plenty of spice from oak and fruit. Good depth, feels like it is shutting down. Should be splendid in a decade or two.

Dark, brooding and spicy. Surprisingly open and soft given the vintage and producer. Very pleasing.
