We shared this wine with friends in the afternoon of a nice summer day. We didn't have time to decant the wine as thoroughly as I would have like due to the impromptu nature of our tasting. There was a beautiful red color and a nose that is typical of Pinot Noir. The wine was in my cellar since 2013. After sharing the first glass, we socialized for about an hour. When we poured the second round, we all agreed that the wine was superior. Bright berry flavors and a long finish were present.

Few hours of air in bottle. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of light airy earth, bit of undergrowth, floral garden bush, green herbs mint spice, sour red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.1%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, sour red cherries, savoury earth, undergrowth, salty minerals, lightly green herbal mint spice. Long finish. Very good quality. Classy slow-burn wine. Still can go on for a few more years. Will re-taste again tonight - Lingonberry nose on day 2.

First impression on the nose was crushed black pepper! The wine is well along it's way to development, pretty dense and robust with plenty of kinks and some interesting facets. Certainly not the most complex of wines...

A little more than a year since our other bottle. Darker, deeper than I'd expect from a cool '11 vintage. Nose leads with sandalwood and baking spices over a mix of cherry and strawberry. Palate of bing cherry, blood orange, more baking spices, hints of truffle. Sneaky, substantial tannins bring up the rear. Picked up sub $30 a while back on close out. Not sure I'd be a buyer at $60 but this is delightful, if not more substantial than a lot of '11s out there.

Mid-dense ruby red, still youthful, with tinge of purple. Young bouquet: cherries, touch of acidity and grape skins. On palate a tingle of tannins, acidity and young fruit. Belies its age.. A pleasant wine but a bit on the simple side with a rather short finish. Not sure that additional age will add any real interest.

Fantastic wine. Cherries, spice, sandalwood, slight menthol, and citrus rind on the nose. Palate is medium everything with an earthy note, incense, fresh plum, and more of a candied cherry. Long finish.

This is just a beautiful Pinot, showing deep and rich flavors. Nose has powerful spice, sweet cherry, cigarette ash, mashed berries, espresso, and loamy earth. Palate is nicely balanced with a medium acidity and a long-if-subtle finish that lingers around the farthest outer and lower edges of the tongue. Seems very ripe and rich for an Oregon Pinot, but I love it.

Dark, saturated color, cherry juice like; fragrant nose, more reminiscent of violets and even a touch of chocolate than the beetroot I was expecting. On the palate there is more cherry, some well integrated tannin with just a touch of bitterness. Quite a satiny feel ... The wine is more dense than you would expect from a year like 2011. Overall a good wine. I think it will last another 5 years. The last year of the de Lancelotti vineyard by Bergstrom; from 2012 on they christened it "Silice" and gave it a completely different - much lighter - style. I wonder what prompted that big stylistic change... Does anybody know?
A brick red, showing some tans, looking older than it is. Moss, cherry, ripe raspberry, blood orange scents. Well balanced, deftly nuanced. Nice acidity keeps it fresh on the palate. Medium long length. Easy to like.

Dark cherry, cranberry and herb, spice aromas. ‘savory.’ Palate definitely shows a savory note. A little bit of a bacon note to the palate. clean, waxy red fruit, spice.

Dark ruby light purple in color. Nose is beautiful of spice and tart dark purple fruits along with a touch of forest floor (more earthy than pine). In the mouth this is light-medium body with a great balance. The finish is really nice with the tart fruits coming out more and a little bit of dryness. Sure this could use a couple of more years in the bottle but really good right now too.

Definitely floral on the nose. Bright color. Nice balance of fruit, floral and mineral in the mouth and finish. I'm sure this will be better in a year, but I enjoyed it right now. Drank over about 2 hours and it definitely opened up.
Three days late finished this up. Found some pepper and more complexity. Think this will improve with time

At Gary's Grand tasting. I am a big fan of Bergstrom Pinot.
Obviously young, could use a longer decant (or some cellar time). Bright ruby color Tannins still very present. Floral/violets on the nose nose. Red fruits, spices, rounded and nice mouthfeel. Would give this 2 years of cellar time.
Prefer the Bergstrom Vneyard to De Lancellotti - just personal preference - both are great wines

There is a noticeable difference in style between the Bergstrom and Lancellotti wines: Lancellotti more forward and round, more polished Bright ruby red color, on nose sweetness, violets, many layers of complexity. Tannins and acidity already quite well integrated. Very smooth, soft, polished and velvety. I wonder where it will go from here? Is there much room for improvement? Will be interesting to see

Sunny January day = tasting around off North Valley (Willamette Valley): Mild funkiness, quite smooth though elegant aromas showing some soft cherry. Really delicious palate with great body volume. Nice structural balance, though tight. The finish is tart, showing nice fruit. Wound up, but this will too open up nicely in the future. 91+

Drinking well. Compared favorably with a 2002 Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Aussy 1ster cru. More fruit, nice balance.

Good ripe character for a 2011 vintage. Not too earthy and not too ripe this was a little more full bodied than i expected.
