Drank languidly on the terrace of Isola over a beautiful lunch of duo of Red Tuna & Beef Tartare followed by equisite Roast Turbot with Grilled Chard. The food really brought out the best of the wine and counterpointed the Vigonier. This is complex and refreshing and clearly from the hands of a great winemaker.

Paolo Scavino Wines (La Pizza Fresca Ristorante): Pungent aromatics of animal fur, pine resin. Viogner is prominent on the nose and also delivers notes of bitter olive pit in the finish. Sauvignon blanc provides underlying acidity, hint of citrus, and overall vibrant feel. Refreshing and complex.

Was once mostly Chardonny but now 40 chard, 40 sauvignon, 20 viognier. Viognier is very prominent on the nose. So essentially the Sorriso nd the Lagnhe Binco have been crushed together with all stainless, no oak as it somewhat has been in the past. Again, lots of Viognier on the nose and palate right now. Not in a bad way its just prominent. The best of two thoughts. The varietal character of sorriso but the wine making of what was the Langhe Bianco.

VinItaly Day 4 (Verona, Italy): Piemontese word meaning 'smile'; 40/40/20 Chard/Sauv. Blanc/Viognier; pale color; fruit initially then grass from the SB, crisp in the background; nice richness along with good crispness, aromatic, gooseberry, exotic fruit; good.
