Tasting in Miami (Ken's Castle): PnP (only made in .375s): I love this Pinot! I wish I had more (or could even get more). One of the best Oregon Pinots I have ever had! I never tire of this, but unfortunately getting to the end of my stash!
Usual cherry creme with dark chocolate, some dark cherries, spice, bramble and a slight pepper berry finish. Probably my best bottle yet, which shows this aged, and will likely continue to age, well. So darn good now though, will be difficult keeping my hands off remaining bottles. 95+ to 96 and delicious!

P: Incredibly fresh with moderate intensity and vibrancy, dark red, almost black cherries, dry and gently bitter spiced oak. Very swift and light on its feet.
New producer for me and what a nice surprise. When I want to drink a Pinot Noir, this is one that hits all the right spots. Good fruit, nice complexity and great freshness.

PnP - This was served toward the end of the night, so not as many people drinking. From a .375. As always, this wine keeps delivering! Nose: Cherry with hints of bramble and chocolate. Palate: Lots of cherry, cherry bark, and cherry cordial. Pleasantly sweet, but not overly sweet. Quite a crowd pleaser! Solid 94 points for this bottle!
Poured two bottles into a .750 bottle for a double blind tasting. I thought this was the second best wine, but obviously young, especially for this tasting. The wine hit all the strides for my palate, and it was the only one I correctly identified both, region and vintage. Having had this wine several times, I pretty confident it was this wine when I tasted it. Unmistakeable cherry and vanilla flavors with bright acidity, some bramble and spice in the background. 95 points and almost my WOTN!

Wines poured into jars at around 4:00 for transport, transferred to glasses at 6:00, and analyzed over the next 3 hours. This was a double blind tasting, except we knew which wine we provided, but not which glass it was in. The line-up included the following:
All wines were very good and very different, so personal preference will likely determine anyone else's order. For me, less than 2 points separated the top wine from the last place wine....a truly epic battle!
2015 Wy'East Res: I love this wine, and it was easy for me to pick out of the group. Always a crowd pleaser, I was not surprised it was the group's WOTN. It was the most floral of all the pinots, displaying a perfumed nose with plum and cherry flowers, raspberry, cigar box and some sweet earth. Palate showed gobs of fruit, including sweet and tart cherry, other red fruits, a hint of plum, cinnamon and orange peel. Also showed signs of cedar, earth and a hint of leather. An excellent Pinot and a 94 tonight.

What can I say....I still love this Pinot! The nose is cherry, lilac and cedar, and the palate is loaded with tart cherry pie with asian spice and hint of earthiness and oak. The wine is ruby red, with no bricking visible (still a very young wine). Medium to medium-full bodied. Nice mouthfeel with tannins and crisp acidity keeping everything lively. The finish is medium-long, and each sip calls you like a siren for another. This wine still has a long life ahead of it, but is always a pleasure to drink! 93+

My second bottle during self-quarantine. 30 min slo O, then drank over 2 hours. Consistent notes. Nose showed slight alcohol that quickly blew away, giving way to the scents of cherry, spice and cedar. On the palate, tart cherry, baking spices, and toasty oak, with layers of red fruit and hints of earth. The mouthfeel was luxurious, medium-full, with crisp acidity that let you know the wine was still alive and kicking! An excellent Oregon Pinot that I wish Peter would have made in .750s and magnums! Bravo! 93+

Rich dark candied cherry and spices with cinnamon dominating. It's interesting to have a rich wine on a lighter pinot noir frame, that makes a good combination.
This wine never disappoints me! I only wish it was made in .750, although with the quarantine going on, the half bottles work pretty well! This was PnP, although a slo O wouldn't have hurt (if you are pressed for time when drinking). It is a fruit-forward wine but not cloying or jammy. The nose is dominated by cherry and a whiff of alcohol that blows off pretty quickly, giving way to cedar, and a hint of pepper and tar. On the palate, you get a kaleidoscope of flavors, starting with cherry and raspberry and red currant, followed by asian spice, earth and lavender, with a hint if toasted oak, The mouthfeel is medium to full with a crispness that lets you know the wine still has tannin and acidity to go a while longer. The finish is good, but not spectacular. I find this my go to wine when I need a pick-me-up, especially during these trying times. Glad I have enough to keep me happy! Drink or hold for now, but because of the .375 size, I would estimate they have only another 2-3 years in them. 93+

New Years Eve (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Dark red color. From 375ml; TNP (twist and pour), drank a glass over and hour. Big fruit, ripe dark berries, vanilla, deep wood spice, forest floor. The palate is near full bodied, rich and somewhat lush, dark berries and black cherry, a little sappy, earth, dried wood spices, vanilla, satiny texture. This is bigger, but comes off pretty well. 91+ to 92pts.

Nose is very perfume like with some grape jelly in there. Big mouthfeel; lots of intense fruit flavors primarily dark fruits. Follows by soil flavor and maybe peat moss? Very good showing!

Continues to impress. Beautiful dark garnet color, lovely nose. Gorgeous fruit, delicious mid palate. Lingering finish. Better than burgundies at 2 or 3 times the price. What a QPR! From 375 ml.

Drank from .375 bottles. Note: Wine was the "Reserve". This is one of the best tasting young Oregon Pinots at any price. I do not know how I will wait on these, they taste so good now....maybe they will shut down and force me to wait!
The wine is deep purple and garnet, almost cabernet-like. It is full bodied for a Pinot Noir. On the nose, it is perfumed, with a bouquet of fruit and flowers that draw the wine to your lips. The palate is complex, rich and fruity. Typical Oregon cherry flavor, but well integrated with cedar, and spice, turning to dark berries and a hint of smokiness. It has a fairly long finish, that can be savored, but also has you lifting your glass for another taste. This is a wine that is a joy to drink, and will have you finishing the bottle before you know it. A truly outstanding effort by Sineann, and one of the best examples of Oregon Pinot, IMO. I am glad I purchased a case of this! (Note: this was only made in .375s, unfortunately.)

What can I say, I still love this Pinot! Started with 60 bottles.....down to 20....still tastes great!
Nose: cherry and bramble with hints of cocoa.
Palate: Chocolate covered cherry creme with loads of dark and red cherry, cream, cherry bark, and spice.
Perfect formy palate and still one of my favorite Oregon Pinots....Easy 94 and I am getting nervous as my bottles are winding down!
