This was good, but still needs some time; the nose was reduced initially; decanted for 20 min and it blew off; showed classic Vosne spice, red cherry, raspberry, and violet. Palate is still a bit tight with notable tannins. Once these integrate fully this will be better. Has plenty of fruit and stuffing for at least another 5-10 so hopefully the tannins fade some by then.

Rousseau dinner at Jade Palace: Easy to pick this out as the outlier with the floral, five-spiced laden perfume. Consistent with my previous impression, very pleasurable without being too complex. Superb nose but lacked the depth of the better plots tonight despite my affection for wines of this ilk.

Sommelier Scholarship Fund Tasting (Popina - Brooklyn NY): Walk around tasting. So pretty and charming, this is prototypically Vosne with its all red fruit and Asian five spice. Good+ depth and weight for its level, so good now. Great Village level wine.

Nose of red fruits, spice and earth. Ripe dark red fruits and some spice notes on the palate. But this is fresh, lip smacking good juice! Primary and tbh unsure if the wine will ever shed that profile…similar to other 15’s Ive had. Regardless drinking well and very enjoyable!

Floral brambly nose with a hint of vanilla, this was nice and primary but seems to need more time best glass was at the end very fruit forward, red fruited.

Quick drinks while collecting wine: My favourite out of the three Vosnes. Best nose by far, the kind that only Burgundy can bring with a mixture of glorious red fruits and a gorgeous floral perfume. On the palate it has great depth for a village, and the finish is wonderfully persistent.

Delicious and suave, although I found myself wishing it was a bit more engaging. Perhaps more forward enjoyment as opposed to interest from nuance and and a subtle unfurling. Hold, although this will not disappoint now.

Vibrant Ruby color. Forward nose of red fruit, with distinct spice on the backend. Medium+ body of red berries and spice, backed up by medium tannins. Medium+ finish. Delicious but not yet fully integrated in my opinion. I understand that it is very young but I had to try one...

Great wine. A lot of stuffing. Too young; should have given it another 3-5 years. Premier cru level imo.

Lackluster wine. Clean and auster are the only thing I can say. Nothing subtle or haunting. Just plain "meh." Based on the hype. very disappointed.

Showed a touch of reduction initially but just for a minute. Drinking well now, and should continue to do so for the next 10+ years.

Some reduction. Juicy red fruit, bit of sophistication. Even better on day 2, a bit chilled.

Spicy red fruit nose, tight and not particularly expressive, cherry and raspberry w some minerals on the palate, great balance and purity. Needs time.

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Ripe red cherry and berry throughout with a charming weightlessness for its level. Very long and texturally exciting. Excellent Villages wine.
