Walk around tasting. Very good richness is a seemingly oxidative style. Good complexity from start-to-finish, very good in its style, even if not my favorite style.
Walk around tasting. One of the highlights, this is rich but also so bright. I am rarely thrilled by Brut Nature, and even though I found this slightly drying at the finish, it was completely engaging.
Walk around tasting. Mature while also very rich, plus completely elegant and graceful. Still fresh enough but best to drink now vs cellaring any further.
Walk around tasting. Plenty of bright apple and lemon with good weight, and even better length. Energy throughout, this is fully engaging with faint hints of toasted brioche. My style of Champagne.
Walk around tasting. Very good depth and richness with lots going on behind plenty of ripe apple and baked apple. Slightly more yeasty and toasty notes than I might consider ideal, but it is not that obtrusive to me. I am sure those who like this style will be very thrilled with this wine.
Walk around tasting. Bright citrus from start-to-finish with good length, this hints at vintage ripeness but delivers just a little too much of its "Brut Nature."
Very much in the bready, oxidative style which detracts from the wonderfully bright Chardonnay freshness that is clearly there. Very good depth and length, this is very good in its style, but I find it to be too much.
Walk around tasting. Floral and peach with apple and lemon curd, so much here. Wonderful textures. This seems like mostly Chardonnay to me, but I am told 60% Pinot Noir. Very good now.
Walk around tasting. Wonderfully and surprisingly fresh for Fèvre of this ear, this is also still bright and energetic with plenty of apple, spice and faint earth. Very good depth and density.
Walk around tasting. Rich from beginning-to-end with a ripeness that approaches being sweet but has the textural charm to stay classic. Not quite as exciting as the bottle tasted at La Paulee NY earlier this year.
Walk around tasting. Nothing shy here, this is a wine of intense concentration and depth, even if not as classically bright and energetic as in the finest vintages. This should continue to cellar well and evolve nicely.
Walk around tasting. Bright lemon and lemon with a classic oyershelly, chiseled textural elegance. Very good length, good depth. A big step up over the 2018 vintage tasted last week, but that bottle was clearly shut down hard.
Walk around tasting. Ripe and powerful start, then firm and nearly tannic from the middle, making slightly awkward right now. But there is also so much here, certainly 90+ point potential, but better from 2025 forward.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Orchard fruit throughout, aging with grace and charm. Very good depth. Good length. Served slightly too warm, but even better today vs when last tasted in 2019.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Certainly still kicking, nicely vibrant and while the vintage under-ripeness detracts from the depth, this is still fun and bright enough. Certainly better a few years ago. Drink up.
Walk around tasting. Also exuberant, this is dense and almost meaty with lots held in reserve. Better in another year or two. Similar to when tasted earlier this year.
Walk around tasting. Very good depth, power and concentration, but still at least as much in reserve as pleasure coming through now. This certainly needs until at least 2025, but probably 2030 to really strut its stuff.
Walk around tasting. Elegant red fruits that unfolds with spice, meat, black pepper, earth hints. Just enough power, this is a charmer, not a powerhouse, so very "2010."
Walk around tasting. Lots of ripe black and red cherry that seems to be shutting down now, behind fairly firm tannins. But there is a lot here, so better to cellar until 2025 forward.
Walk around tasting. Approachable red cherry and berry, soft and well balanced. Very easy to enjoy right now. I liked this much more vs when last tasted in 2020.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Maranges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Red berry aromas are nicely spiced, followed by red and black berry flavors. This is firm in the middle for now, but promsing from 2025 forward. I do not recall ever tasting a Bachelet-Monnot red before, and this exceeded expectations.
Walk around tasting. Ripe red fruited aromas are nicely spiced, with all the same coming through on palate along with some black cherry as well and slightly sweeter spice. Balanced already, good already now, better from 2024.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Ripe enough red cherry throughout, slightly firm but well balanced, especially for the vintage. Good+ depth and length, this is good now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Black fruit with faint meatiness, clearly under-ripe but the slight bitterness I tasted in 2019 is now gone. Good now, good balance.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Fun red fruit is accessible and everything is well balanced, this seems to finish slightly simpler than I recall from earlier this year. Good now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Much less accessible than when tasted in March, this seems to be shutting down firmly and quickly, like many 2018s. Lots here, but this needs time.
Walk around tasting. So pretty and charming, this is prototypically Vosne with its all red fruit and Asian five spice. Good+ depth and weight for its level, so good now. Great Village level wine.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. A big step up from 2012 in terms of fruit, density, balance, and fun. Open now, further upside from here, but this is almost hinting that it might shut down.
Walk around tasting. All red fruit, bright and well spiced on nose and palate. soft approach, slightly firm landing for now. I haven't tasted this since June 2018 (from barrel), and it is slightly less fun now than I expected based on that note. Better to cellar another year or three.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Elegantly styled red cherry and berry throughout with subtle spice. Approachable now, harmonious start-to-finish, ending with sneaky good length.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Lots here, more black than red fruit, with cherry, berry, and plum. Still slightly firm but close to accessible. Better to cellar at least until 2025. Nearly identical to when tasted in the spring.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. More red vs black cherry is bright on both nose and palate. Slightly backward but nearly balanced with lots more concentration than a typical 1er Cru, but this is no typical 1er Cru. I liked this more today vs when tasted in the spring.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. More black vs red fruited with good density, but certainly better balance than most 2018s at this stage in time. Lots here, but also lots of upside.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Vosne styled spice and bright red fruit throughout, all wonderfully balanced. Medium+ weight, good+ length, this is so charming now. Identical to when tasted in the spring.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Walk around tasting. Large scaled and well spiced with wonderful balance and length. This would thrill me served with a great rare steak. Good already this young, certainly further upside.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Walk around tasting. I understand why people like wines like these, but I find it too ripe and jammy, thus lacking elegance, so it's not my preferred style.
Walk around tasting. Riper than the Fiancée, and also more tannic, but very good substance for a Vin de France. Well balanced now. Probably a very good value wine.
Walk around tasting. Mature black fruit with earth, black truffle and woodsy spice hints. Good now, doubt there is further upside, but no hurry to drink.
Walk around tasting. A brawny powerhouse that needs lots more cellar time. Great substance makes it enjoyable now, but not close to its real potential. Perhaps 90 points today, 92-93 points, 2030 forward.

2019 Domaine la Barroche Vin de France Liberty 88 Points
France, Vin de France
Walk around tasting. Riper than the Fiancée, and also more tannic, but very good substance for a Vin de France. Well balanced now. Probably a very good value wine.

2018 Domaine Santa Duc Châteauneuf-du-Pape Pied de Baud
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Walk around tasting. Very big and powerful but not quite yet harmonious. Very good length, even if slightly warm in the finish. Needs time?

2006 Jean-Michel Gerin Côte-Rôtie La Landonne 93 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
Walk around tasting. Intensely rich with the stuffing to hold everything together. Very good right now and for the next decade.

2011 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle 90 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
Walk around tasting. Mature black fruit with earth, black truffle and woodsy spice hints. Good now, doubt there is further upside, but no hurry to drink.

2015 Clusel-Roch Côte-Rôtie Les Grandes Places
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
Walk around tasting. A brawny powerhouse that needs lots more cellar time. Great substance makes it enjoyable now, but not close to its real potential. Perhaps 90 points today, 92-93 points, 2030 forward.
