Bryant has never disappointed since my first bottles back I think in 1994. Finesse, length, wonderful balance of fruit and tannins, a lengthy finish, everything a California cab should be with no hint of fruit bomb or jamb. A Napa first growth for sure

This wine is incredible , the nose is dense, almost heavy: crème de cassis, licorice, blueberry pie, milk chocolate, espresso roast, wet earth, pipe tobacco, cherry liqueur. Sweet, massive yet fresh on the palate, the finish is close to a minute. Simply outstanding.

A good friend was kind enough to share this bottle over dinner. The last time I had this back in 2019 and it's changed a good bit since then. Or, maybe bottle variation or storage is in play.
What I like most about these wines it they're very terroir driven. This was a bit raw and unresolved but I personal like that in what I consider to be a young wine.
Hold for further development.

Wow. Aired for 2 hours. Dark inky purple in the glass. Currents with hint if raisen on the nose. Silly smooth plum jam in the mouth. Tertiary notes if tobacco and horse leather in the aftertaste. Pretty sure at its peak right now, but I've got a couple of bottles left so I'm going to find out if it gets better

Popped and Poured. Wow wine. Deep, dark, rich, viscous. Jammy, bold dark red fruit with some chocolate/tobacco notes. No sign of fading -- could easily last a few more decades based on this tasting. Smooth seamless finish. Delicious.

Dense purple and ruby color. Deep blueberry, blackberry, chocolate and gravel on the nose. Boldly concentrated, rounded, mouthcoating blueberry, blackberry, hint of black pepper, and chocolate with a hint of herbal tones on the palate and a lengthy 40-45 sec finish. Superb and singing beautifully now, although I am sure this could have aged further for many years to come.

PnP and drank over 90 min with dinner @ Lucio’s. Started off a bit cool due my cooling the bottle due to the HTX heat and a drive into town, but exploded in the glass when it hit the right temp.
Oh dear! What an experience! Open and ready. No oak, no tannins, fruit forward but showing nice secondary notes. Seamless over the palate with a 25-30 second finish. Balanced in every way. Didn’t pay much particular attention to specific notes but wow!
We were halfway through the bottle before I realized just how good this was. This could have easily hit the rare ‘100’ had I paid better attention. A conservative 98 and on the lookout for more!
Anything Goes (Zoom): 1 hour decant, then poured/sealed in 5 individual jars and tasted 4 hours later. This wine is a serious head turner. It is flashy. The nose is blueberry pie. The fruit is insane in its intensity and purity. It's like fruit that doesn't exist in nature, purple and tropical. Slightly mocha, dark berries, floral with lavendar, sweet and brambly, black fruit, showy and polished. This is one of the most impressive wines I've had in the modern napa style.

Virtual Holiday Wine Tasting (Home): Very dark red/purple color. Decanted for 1 hour, drank a glass over 2 hours. Well talk about intensity, this delivers in spades. The fruit profile is impressive, bold black fruits, very dark and brambly berries, blackberry, creme de cassis, lavender, and an oh so subtle touch of wet earth as this unwinds. The palate is ultraripe, cassis, black cherry, blackberry, concentrated and intense, but buoyed by the acidty that keep this fresh and lively. There is a tartness to the sappy dark fruits and a sweet creamy texture along with rather well hined tannins. A big, fruit forward wine to be sure, but one that carries the load well and keeps things relatively interesting. This is somewhat one dimensional, but what it does, it does exceptionally well. This is a wine that will thoroughly mesmerize the big fruit fans even more than me.

Wine Notes: 2009 Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet - This was my first Bryant Family Cab, and I enjoyed it very much! For me, this wine was my #4 pick, against some stiff competition from much more mature wines that were peaking (or close to peaking). Still, only one point separated this wine from the WOTN, and this wine still has loads of potential, where the other wines ahead of it were close to peaking. If you like more hedonistic wines, you will not be disappointed having this wine now, or in the near future, with a 1-2 hour decant. If you want some tertiary flavors to accompany this fantastic wine, I would wait another 5-10 years (I will likely wait another 5 years before before opening bottle 2 of 3). Nose was perfumed with lavender and violets, accompanied by blueberry and blackberry pie. Palate was fruit forward with blackberry and blueberries dominating at first, followed by creme de cassis and some leather and toasted oak notes with chocolate and cigar box lurking in the background. The finish was medium-long with dark fruit and sweet toasted oak tailing off in your mouth. Wine was delicious and showed no heat from alcohol. All in all, a very enjoyable wine that will improve. Easy 95+ now, with upside potential.

4.5+9+5+9.5+9.5+5+5=97+; This was truly amazing. One of the best Cabs I have had. Starting with near perfect color that had some transparency to a deep red-purple; great aromas, but not quite the near perfection of all the other elements. Mouthfeel was the best ever; simply could not believe how sexually sensual it was. I could have buried my mouth and tongue in that for all eternity and been a happy man. Literally could not get enough of that silky lady. Flavors, finish, balance were all near perfect. Decanted for quick integration, but could have drank with just glass airtime. This is so good now, I have to recommend drinking, but I will stretch my remaining bottles over the next 3 to 4 years. And looking forward to having each of them in my mouth.

A friend brought this bottle over for WS game 5. Tart cherries on the nose with a beautiful round mouth feel. This bottle continued to open as time passed but was finished under 3 hours. I would have loved to spend more time with this one. Amazing purity for a 10 year old Napa Cabernet. This one is just getting started. Drank side by side with a 2011 Checkerboard Estate. At least 3 points better than the C.B.
Deep garnet color with unbelievable balance and with a rich deep dark cherry and plum flavor with no hints of eucalyptus, the other twin in many Cabernets. Very velvety mouth feel with wonderful depth and purity, and a very long finish. This was clearly a WOW wine and matched the stunning setting of the Florida Emerald Coast. WX+ 'X9 Blind Cabernet Sauvignon Meetup (My House - Hanover Park, IL): Absolutely one of the wines of the night. You could tell this was a super quality producer. Tempted by the reviews, I decided to open one against my better judgement. Clearly a majestic wine however it is at least 5 years away from its drinking window. Tannins very present and flavors haven't integrated. For Bryant, the bouquet is clipped and some might say, nearly closed down. So I disagree that it can be approached now. Don't commit infanticide with this one.

Deep color. The nose is very distinctive. Herbs, dark fruit and a mushroom note. The palate is rich and ripe but shows nice red and dark fruit compote.

Spice box, smoke, oak, truffle, blackberry liqueur and Espresso bean scents open to a thick, rich, spicy, lush, dense, intense, polished wine that ends with a fresh, deep, sensuous, cassis and black cherry finish.

Well made - may warrant a few more points with some age.

You can drink it tomorrow and never worry about drinking it too early. Smooth, velvety tannins. Black and red fruit. Has a terrific roundness to it. Never would have guessed it a 2009.
