Interesting- has some elements of focus and elegance as you’d expect from ‘13 but also a bit of raisiny character and tertiary evolution relatively young. It’s not a totally successful hybrid but there is a lot to like: identifiably Brunello, rich herbal cherry and liquorice on the nose, medium bodied with quite refined tannins on the palate and a really focused cherry liqueur flavour, slightly drying finish

Magnum, bu sur 2 jours, meilleur le second. Pas mon préféré vu son niveau d'acidité très élevé mais peut-être qu'elle va disparaître avec les années, mais je ne le saurai pas vu qu'il ne m'en reste plus.

Mørkrød, men fortsatt litt gjennomsiktig farge. Medium fylde. Kompleks og elegant Brunello som sto godt til lasagne!

Still young. Punchy tannins off the bat. A little raisin on the nose and palate with a background of cola the first few sips. Deep cherry syrup flavor after opening for 30+ minutes.

Nicely structured Brunello which has aged for 38 months on large French oak barrels. Lovely (and already moderately subtle) tannins.
Well-balanced acidity but also some sweeter notes with licorice and blackberry. Furthermore notes of earth, leather & vanilla along with ripe cherry. Longlasting finish.
Perhaps still a bit too structured and closed, so I'm curious to see how this wine will develop in a few years. (94 WE, 93 WS, 92 RP)

That has gorgeous perfume to it. They really like the Brunello 2013. Balsamic character and soft on the palate but good grip and acidity on the back end. Will go much longer.

Benvenuto Brunello 2018, Montalcino centro; 2/16/2018-2/19/2018 (Montalcino): (Benvenuto Brunello, 2018, Montalcino) Of their three wines being poured today, this was the only one I found interesting/good. Brick red>ruby, a touch international on the nose (e.g. compote, toffee), though with some good soil and varietal notes firmly in the background, too. It's clean, balanced, with good purity. A good surprise. 14,0% abv., drink now thru 2034. recommended
A Season of Change: 2013 Brunello di Montalcino: The nose showed crushed cherry, spice, dried flowers, and minerals, yet it was a bit dried out. On the palate, I found soft textures with cherry, licorice and inner florals, in an airy and fresh expression. The finish was long with spicy cherry saturating deep, along with a coating of fine tannin.

Punchy, tart fruit. Hard to evaluate after a fair amount of Spanish wine. Not quite as intense or complex as I have experienced.

The second vintage that they completely did if I caught that right. And that is still tight. A very elegant wine.

Magnum. Ouvert 90 minutes avant dégustation.
Robe rubis, nez joliment aromatique mais l’acidité en bouche est beaucoup trop présente.
A revoir

Cool and delicate aromas of fresh berries. Pure, tart and savoury on the palate, with fine tannins.
