High voltige sauvignon blanc. Citrus, tropical fruits, a bit mineral, well balanced. Long finish. I rarely think that the taste of a wine is better than the smell of it. But it's the case here.

A mildly exotic bouquet, very pure and refined, perfect bitters, and the sauvignon, not in a hefty style, but smooth and elegant with super ripe citrus; a divine wine.

Pale golden, with a touch of green. Upon opening, this struck us as rather restrained, and yet showing hints of depth and sophistication. There is a honey suckle aspect, but it’s definitely on the savory / meadow hay side of things. This developed very nicely over three nights, gassed in between. QPR is an issue, though. We will try to hold a remaining bottle for a number of years.

No detailed notes taken, but this was on the richer side of the spectrum, with the focus on honeysuckle, passion fruit and yellow fruit. With considerable air( 2-3 hours) more green notes started appearing with more green bellpepper, tomato stem etc.
Very good quality and fairly open now.

good gold color, pungent grass and melon on the nose, on the palate a beautiful and serene entry of honeydew and pear with floral notes- leading into a racy mid-palate with sreaks of blood orange and then citrus acids to a fine long finish- all in one elegant and streamlined step, with time broadens on the mid-palate like the rising sun, as always a singular creature reminding one of the now-lost genius who was its original maker.

Very closed at first - just opened and poured and initial reaction was real disappointment. But give it 30 minutes and it opens up and then just keeps improving. Wonderful, creamy texture. Citrus, vanilla. Delicious

Very racy showing of Sauvignon blanc. Decanted an hour prior to tasting, it has beautiful notes of white flowers, citrus fruit & quince. Medium dry on the palate with earthy minerality and a medium length finish. To revisit in 5 years +

Blind tasting. pnp. Pale hue. Nose exceptionnal of a young Charlemagne, light exotics, jasmin, white flowers, pine aple, unripe banana, bioethanol. Mouth , first fine elegant, perfectly balanced. Nice underforest wood integrated. Perhaps needs decantation. Sorry but that is my real naïf experience. Grape type wrong, region wrong, blind experience true. Ready to drink.

This had a little lemon curd on it, cream soda, touch herbal notes, bright lemon/pink grapefruit. Very crisp, young, with a little lemon tart thing going on (from the oak?). Kind of straight forward, didn't catch much complexity at all. Thought this was a young bright Bordeaux. Very young and the Silex seemed to perform much better. DD tasting blind Malibu.

Citrus fruits, grapefruit, lemon, hint of cream, grass, slate. Medium - body, medium + acidity, quite ripe fruit on the palate with sweetness on the finish. Lovely transparency and earthy minerality. Gorgeous.

My first Pur Sang and my preconception was happily wrong, since I was expecting something forbiddingly mineral, acidic and severe. Instead there was a really pretty top note of yellow flower and orange blossom. Medium weight for a Sauvignon Blanc, just the right amount of acidity and very drinkable indeed. Very nice, crisp and refreshing, flavor and structure.

Initially muted, but quickly opened up. Somewhat nutty, maybe almond skins, on the nose, with something floral and slightly oaky. The mouth feel is a bit creamier than I anticipated. Not as much minerality as I'm accustomed to, in a Sauv Blanc. Looong finish. A bit too young. But delicious.

Pop and pour, which I do not advise with this wine. If you open this now, give it lots of air. At first, this seemed like a somehwat simple sauv blanc, and the nose was fairly closed with rather mild aromas of grass and apple. With more time, this showed nice minerality. The substance of this wine is on the palate, where the intensity is amazing: excellent acidity, and just loads of dry extract with a nice saline minerality backing up the sauv blanc fruit. Imo, this needs a huge amount of time to come into its own.

Very taught and steely, clearly still young, will put on weigth and round out with time. Dry with high acidity as you would expect for Sauvignon, Lovely pure taught flavours of grapefruit and gooseberry. Quite a full body for a Sauvignon - this is a big wine - not like a Cali Chard but big structure of acidity and fruit concentration. Intense and with a long finish.

Great grapefruit aromatics. The usual Dagueneau texture, but this has tremendous acidity and snap for a 2015. Excellent aging potential.
