This is an undervalued Napa cab it is showing really well right now. Lots of black fruits, blackberry pie, a touch of leather. 16 was a great vintage and this wine shows that. I’ll grab some more if I can find it.

Drinking great. Blackberry color with raspberry flavor. Moderated tannins. 45 minute decant, then drank over 3 hours. Huge PR fans. This might be best value around. We’re club members and they run 30% sale around Holidays, $40-45 range.

Blackberry and tar up front, with a mild finish and some hints of licorice. Still a bit tannic; could probably wait as year or so more. Nice though, too bad this is my last one!

Splash decant. Very deep magenta color. Stewed blackberry, raspberry, burnt popcorn, and watermelon Jolly Rancher on the nose. Dry, brambly palate, with vibrant acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
This came across as somewhat reduced. It’s got good structure, but the burnt notes are too dominant. Perhaps a few hour decant would help.

Deep purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off smoky notes of cola and vanilla on dark red and black berries. The palate is full bodied with a velvety texture that has lively acidity to balance the ripe dark cherry, raspberry, plum notes. It has a good mid palate that introduces secondary flavors of eucalyptus menthol on the long, spicy, but gripping finish. Excellent Napa Cabernet for food pairing. Drink now with a 30-minute decant and let evolve in the glass until 2031.

So good for a young wine. Dark and bold. Just what I imagine a Napa Cab should be. Heavy mouth feel, perfect tannins and no light fruit. Tobacco, dirt and alfalfa. Awesome.

This is a big boy Napa Cab. Full bodied, deep plum flavors and a full mouthfeel. Nicely dry, nicely oaked with a long finish. I think it will age well too.

Oak, restricted nose. Very fruity, sweet and mouth filling. Mild and well balanced tannins. Mild acidity as well. Easy to drink. Family loved it as well. With aging, the fruit-fowardedness should soften. I’m not sure there’s enough acidity and tannin to soften over time.8.5/10

Respectable showing tonight. A balanced Cabernet with mild fruit notes. The wine appears ageable but it's freshness tonight stands out. It was enjoyable and punches above its weight.

Pine Ridge Cab was really good. There was a stable smell that disturbed from the beginning, needed 1-2 hours before it opened up. An elegant Cab, not to much oak, good balance. Like most Cabs from the Napa / Colombia Valley or Santa Cruz Mountains, they need at least 10 years in the cellar before they will reach their drinking window 👍

Nice wine with some air time. Dark violet, oaky style as expected, well rounded, hot at times. I didn't like this as much as the '13 and '15 vintages. Paid $40.

P&P and now Night II. Nice deep dark core in color. Eucalyptus, some mint, ripe blue fruit, some creamy oak on the nose. Nice mouthfeel, maybe a bit thin, the fruit more bright. Not a Cali bomb, more restrained, getting the high tones fruit, cherries, acid is light, balanced. Linger so nicely. The finish on this is just hanging on and wont quit. Love the fruit treatment. The acids and fruits and oak and tannis just dancing away in my mouth. Up one more point.
This was fun on P&P, super delicious, more powerful fruit, more newish Cali style, tannins wound up. But Day II different wine. This is a case buy and enjoy over 10 years. Old school respect.

Really starting to come into its own. Big dark and red fruit upfront with nutmeg and gravelly skinned grapes. Tannic, but well integrated and smoothness fairly soon after. Long, lingering interesting finish.

Quintessential fruit forward Napa cab. Decanted 30 minutes. Deep purple in the glass with a strong dark fruit bouquet and satisfying ripe blackberry and cassis on the palate. Drinking well in its youth, with light-moderate tannins that suggest it may be better consumed young than old- although I have no doubt it will hold up dashingly for a few years. I might just pick up a couple more bottles.

Dark garnet, purple colored, medium-full bodied, it spent 16-18 months in American oak, big full ripe, nicely integrated and balanced notes of sweet blackberry and plum fruits are highlighted by spice, hints of cassis and vanilla bean, with pure, full but approachable tannins on the pleasant lingering finish.
This was opened yesterday, so the wine is seriously big. It’s a purple red wine with a big bouquet nose of roses and flowers. I tried this next to a Bordeaux and it drank like a sugar bomb. There is dark cherry, cassis, sweet cream, and a good amount of tannins that lacks astringency but some decent chewiness. I would drink this wine on purpose. If you choose to hold it, it will drink well in the years to come but this is a quintessential California Cabernet

Mike's Cabernet Event (Prior Lake, MN): This was tight on initial pour. This wine needs 2 plus hours of decanting. Other group said it opened up later in the night. Dark fruits, spices, oak, vanilla and black licorice. Medium finish. Hold until 2021.

Deep opaque purple. Prominent nose of blackberries, cedar and licorice. Taste is similar and an initial punch of ripe dark plum followed by a little lilac and flour paste. Nicely balanced tannins and acidity. Medium plus body. Pretty good QPR at about $55. About 92-93 and drinking really well for a ‘16.

Pietros: Overall I am sure this is a very good NV Cabernet but I don't like the sweet (RS) notes and there is also a VA from the barrel that puts me off. Big intense wine but I am passing on.

An absolutely stunning cab; traditional Napa valley tones, gorgeous deep color; fruity smacky with a lingering finish— oak, but a touch of brightness for a nice summer day.
