Awesome sangiovese expression. A little bit more extracted than usual, which allowed the wine to get a little bit more acidity and tannins. However, it is still very well balanced and pleasant.
Colour: medium intensity garnet. Acidity: medium high. Tannins: medium high. Texture: medium. Finish: long.
Aromas: red cherry, cranberry, blueberry, rose peddles, vanilla, and liquorice.

I’ve been eyeing this producer awhile now. She’s making quite a name for herself. 100% Sangiovese from Predappio in Emilia-Romagna. Many believe this is where the grape originated. This is the “reserve” wine sourced from just a small 0.8 hectare parcel that is farmed organically. The color is a pure deep ruby. Instantly aromatic. You get ample aromas of cherry, violets, wild strawberries, tomato leaf (I saw this from @sommselect and it is spot on), earth and spice both sweet and savory. On the palate this is so drinkable! You get some acidity you’d expect from the grape but not overly so and the tannin is so fine. From my understanding that is from how she ferments and a lack of crushing the grapes completely. So silky and salivating all at once! Salute!

Fragrant refined Sangiovese character on the nose. Sour cherries, vanilla, subtle herbs. Mid-weight palate, very nicely balanced. Those sour cherries again with fine tannins, mouth-puckering acidity, all very nicely integrated. Good depth and length. This is excellent and a real appetising food wine. I don’t get any sense of the excess polish i noted last time, with a bit of bottle age this has relaxed into itself.

Rather enjoyable. Lots of darkish frutti di bosco and hints of violet on the slightly plush nose. Refreshment aplenty on the palate, with sour cherry and some cherry pit, then a juicy, saline finish. An interesting presentation of Sangiovese, neither at all rustic nor polished - just straightforwardly fruity.

tasted at a Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri wine event. Poured by the winemaker. Ruby color. Nose offers red fruits - tart red berries. Purity of red fruit with a little more depth than the base Romagna Sangiovese wine. Retains freshness. No showing of oak. So delicious.

Modern style but still extremely enjoyable, reminded me of a new-school Bordeaux that focuses on clean and pure fruit without overdoing it on the oak. Very impressed with this.

Funky nose at first, lovely cherry fruit and cola. Remarkably polished on the palate. Dark bramble fruit, tannin and acidity and balance. Lovely, perhaps a bit too much polish?

Deep fruited nose, old oak, sous bois, sherbet. Lovely clean and deep Sangiovese. Just the right amount of power and acid. Very well balanced. Drinks well now but should develop too.

A great nose of fresh cherries, cedar, violets and earth. It has excellent intensity of fruit, is light on its feet and has engaging savoury nuance. Love the fresh acidity and length is fabulous.

Medium to full, the nose is great, a richer style than that of Chianti but plenty of Sangiovese character, showing the warmer climate in Romagna maybe ? Whatever, it’s approachable and very drinkable, juicy ripe brambly berry fruits with a bit of fresh tobacco, some sage and marjoram, a lovely fresh and bitter twist on the lengthy charcoal tinged finish. I hadn’t tried one of this cuvee before but I’m pretty impressed. Should develop a more but is pretty damn good now

Medium ruby garnet. Black cherry, plum, blackberry on the nose. Cherry, blackberry, minerals and a touch of oak. Well balanced, lighter style sangiovese.

Tuscany at Terra Rossa (Terra Rossa): Slightly plush and oaky on the nose, which reminded me of Bordeaux. Very pure and well-made (perhaps too much so) - perfectly balanced, well-mannered and with nothing out of place. Went well with our pasta with ragu, but didn't really need food. I'd say this was (to my surprise) completely ready, but it will probably get more interesting with more time in bottle.

Lovely perfume on the nose, fine tannins, very pure fruit yet showing 2016 vintage restraint, quite plush without being obviously oaky, so feels quite modern which may not appeal to all, and perhaps in 5 to 10 years there may be some tertiary development adding complexity and likely merit a higher score. 13.5% ABV.

I love this style. No oak - long maturity in large casks. Perfume of flowers, red fruit, delicate. But the magic starts on your palate. Amazing texture, grip and minerality in this wine. Very long. Great persistence - just a complete wine which is fully balanced. Bravo!

First time me trying the Tasting Note Assistant ;)
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like forest floor, mineral, red currant, cherry, sandalwood, nutmeg and violet. It tastes like cherry, raspberry, red currant, mineral, tobacco and thyme. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.
In short: This is an amazing and very elegant Sangiovese that is very much recommended and worth any search. Clear upside potential.
Nice cherry sangiovese fruit on the nose. Ripe and round tanins, very balanced. Good lenght. Delicious now, with some potential to mature into an even better wine. 2020-2032

A Splendid Pre-Holiday Celebration With the London Crew (67 Pall Mall): My first Condello. Understandably overshadowed by the Soldera served alongside this, I was impressed by the delicate, non-interventionist style, which still managed to express the energy of the grape to good effect.
