Just superb, was mineral and saline at the beginning but then with a decant it opened up into a bouquets of white flowers. This can match or surpass any grand cru burgundy in terms of its complexity and structure. This could easily age for another couple decades and would likely get only better.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“No” day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Ripe citrus fruits. Almost caramel banana like nose. Oxidative notes. Fresh creme.
Very interesting and unique flavours. With more oxidative notes with “banana cake” notes. Sadly a little clumsy on structure compared to the Raveneau tasted alongside.
Integrated and very rich on palate.
93-94 points.
Second round: vanilla seeds and very rich indeed. Very much banana cake and malolactic and diary notes.

Others loved it and praised it, I found it basicly gone with too many oxidized notes . But the producer was there - and he seemed happy, so it's probably me. Certainly a rich wine with plenty of mineral notes. #PB#Jean-Luc

Hsien Min's Birthday Dinner (Nouri): Lovely stuff. I really could not place it when blind, and no wonder! This was the illusive white Musigny. It had a very attractive noes, with sweet white peach, fresher green apples, then notes of honey, white flowers, and a little drift of lanolin and fresh rosemary, all linked together by a spine of flinty mineral scents. A very floral nose - almost perched somewhere between Burgundy and the Loire valley. The palate too: it had an oily, almost waxy texture, along with a suspiciously Chenin Blanc-like lanolin lilt, and then a lovely spine of mineral pierced through a core of apple fruit, and again that sweeter peachy tone. I was really take by this. Bone dry and impeccably balanced in spite of the ripeness of its fruit, and showing a superb minerality, this was a wine of great finesse. Drinking nicely on the night as well.

1999 Vogue Bourgogne Blanc is fully mature and it is has an intense and complex aromas that is way beyond any Bourgogne standard. Smoky flints, bee wax and touch of sherry aromas. Great acidity and elegant structure, something more deep and serious on the palate. An intellectual Bourgogne Blanc. (92/100) The second bottle of 1999 Vogue Bourgogne Blanc impresses me even more! Fresher than the other bottle I had recently. Subtle and complex nose of yellow fruits, smoked stone and nuts. Gentle floral creaminess with beautiful minerality. (93/100)

Comte de Vogue 1999 dinner: The evening started with a nice surprise. This Burgogne Blanc is a declassified Musigny Blanc (the domaine waited till 2015 where the young vines reached a minimum age to call it Musigny Blanc) was spectacular. Lots of acacia and linden flower with a mineralic core, more Meursault Perriere than Chassagne in style. Refreshing palate, long finish. Very popular at the table. Great wine, unfortunately the market price reflects the quality despite the generic classification.

Colour is a brilliant yellow. The nose is bright and citrusy with whiffs of orange oil and walnut oil. On the palette, taste is very fresh, of citrus and with nice acidity. Very refreshing and not oily and with very slight oxidative notes.

The nose was very restrained tonight with mostly white chocolate and butter. Palate had good balance between acidity with ripe tropical fruit. I would expect more from this. It could be bottle variation.

Vogue Musigny dinner (Everest Chicago): This was enjoyable at first, but really came into its own after about two hours. Lovely acacia blossom, citrus oil and wet stones. Outstanding balance and subtle depth. Towards the end the nose was a fascinating mix of minerality and strawberry pie. Really delightful.

Nose is somewhat shy, but complex. Very clean, floral with citrus flowers, minerals and lemon. Almost to clean, making it shy and not very expressive. On the palate however this is a big wine! Big and very fine, sweet but structured fruit profile with superb acidity. Judging from other notes, this might have come out and entered another dimension with a few more years, or it’s just me having a different palate and preference? Clearly Grand Cru qualities to me, and a very fine wine indeed. (93 – 95)

Still very young, but quite broad and rich on the palate with good minerality but not quite enough acidity for my preference. Very long though, and quite impressive. A curiosity...

Sydney Burgundy Celebration Gala Dinner: The nose is quite expressive initially with citrus, florals, light licorice and light herbs coming through but with time in the glass it calmed down and was probably less interesting for it. The palate has a good hit of upfront richness but the mid-palate intensity dips away before the acid kicks in and picks things back up to drag the fruit into a medium length finish. Drink over the next couple of years.

Frisk syre. Tørr, nesten spicy utgang med noe eik. Sitter lenge i. Særpreget hvitburgunder.

I gave it about 15-20 minutes of air before drinking and it showed identical to the bottle had back in May. There was about a half bottle left and I corked the bottle and put into the fridge. When I finished it two days later, the wine interestingly seemed much fresher and full of life.

Comte de Vogue Dinner with Jean-Luc Pepin (Les Nomades, Chicago IL): Domaine Library Release. Opened about 2 hours before serving. A riper aromatic profile than the bottle had a couple weeks ago. Yellow citrus and mineral notes. Much richer on the palate as well. The additional time open definitely made a difference, but there was a still a pretty good amount of structure. Nice cleansing acidty. Overall showing well, but I would have liked a longer finish.

Mini Comte de Vogue Dinner (Yusho, Chicago IL): Library release from the Domaine just shipped in about 5 weeks ago. Opened and drank over about 90 minutes. Served alongside the 2009 vintage. Upon opening, the nose was fairly tight with a great deal of mineral, faint floral and a bit of citrus. Palate showed some firmer yellow fruit and a beeswax character with a mineral backbone. Much tigher overall than the 2009. After an hour or so in the glass, the nose began to give more ripe fruit and floral notes, but still kept a lot in reserve. The fruit on the palate had a certain waxiness that made us all think of the Northern Rhone. Moderate acidity and weight on the palate. Overall a very youthful bottle, but as it opens, it does start to show some of its age.

THis wine is everything a Great white burgundy should be! The nose was showing mix flavors at opening time but after 1 to 2 hours of breathing time it delivered it all! The power, the fat, the richness, the aromas, all well in place. A superb burgundy! Drink it now

My blind guess was Corton-Charlemang. This is perhaps more of an interesting milestone than a fantastic wine. It feels good tobe able to say that you've had a white Musigny.

Light yellow colour. Refreshing, spearmint nose. Buxom, low acid palate with an oily sensation like a white rhone. Smoke, gunflint developed on the nose. Full, fat, but lacking acidity for my taste.
