  • Just superb, was mineral and saline at the beginning but then with a decant it opened up into a bouquets of white flowers. This can match or surpass any grand cru burgundy in terms of its complexity and structure. This could easily age for another couple decades and would likely get only better.

  • PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“No” day): Medium golden to the eyes.

Ripe citrus fruits. Almost caramel banana like nose. Oxidative notes. Fresh creme.

Very interesting and unique flavours. With more oxidative notes with “banana cake” notes. Sadly a little clumsy on structure compared to the Raveneau tasted alongside.

Integrated and very rich on palate.

    93-94 points.

Second round: vanilla seeds and very rich indeed. Very much banana cake and malolactic and diary notes.

  • Others loved it and praised it, I found it basicly gone with too many oxidized notes . But the producer was there - and he seemed happy, so it's probably me. Certainly a rich wine with plenty of mineral notes.

  • Hsien Min's Birthday Dinner (Nouri): Lovely stuff. I really could not place it when blind, and no wonder! This was the illusive white Musigny. It had a very attractive noes, with sweet white peach, fresher green apples, then notes of honey, white flowers, and a little drift of lanolin and fresh rosemary, all linked together by a spine of flinty mineral scents. A very floral nose - almost perched somewhere between Burgundy and the Loire valley. The palate too: it had an oily, almost waxy texture, along with a suspiciously Chenin Blanc-like lanolin lilt, and then a lovely spine of mineral pierced through a core of apple fruit, and again that sweeter peachy tone. I was really take by this. Bone dry and impeccably balanced in spite of the ripeness of its fruit, and showing a superb minerality, this was a wine of great finesse. Drinking nicely on the night as well.

  • 1999 Vogue Bourgogne Blanc is fully mature and it is has an intense and complex aromas that is way beyond any Bourgogne standard. Smoky flints, bee wax and touch of sherry aromas. Great acidity and elegant structure, something more deep and serious on the palate. An intellectual Bourgogne Blanc. (92/100)
The second bottle of 1999 Vogue Bourgogne Blanc impresses me even more! Fresher than the other bottle I had recently. Subtle and complex nose of yellow fruits, smoked stone and nuts. Gentle floral creaminess with beautiful minerality. (93/100)
